Lastly, are you guys sure Toon Link is not the best?

No. Toon Link is just easier to learn how to use well then other characters like Lucario and Sonic. And Pit...well most people just spam his B and consider him top-tier because of his recovery moves but to me Meta Knight is > Pit...but that's just because I really don't use Pit.

No arguments? Well since you're too scared to fight me I really don't have much to say to you.

-if you just spam pits B, thats stupid... thats only a small fraction of why pit is top tier

-you dont even have a theory as to why ganon is good.. so why would I waste my time fighting you?.. like I said.. only people I know are on my brawl list

it is pretty unfair, if you have a specialised character for Bros/Melee, you don't want to be taken out of that comfort zone and thrust into big new changes.

Yep, especially if those changes happen to be negative, which they are for the most part (as far as most of the characters I used in SSB 64/Melee).

As much as I still like using Mario for instance, I still can't stand his new Down+B move. Never really liked FLUDD to begin with, and it's pretty much useless compared to his previous Down+B..

Exactly. ^^

Lastly, I'm a big no to having items, they are the most random pile of crap in SSB, they already have stages with random garbage happening in them, I would like to keep it along the lines of me vs my opponent only as much possible.

Same here. ^^

So we're not friends? 🙁

How many people have completed this game 100%?

Not me. Not sure if I ever will, to be honest. Just doesn't seem worth the time when I already have all the unlocked stuff in wi-fi, the main part of the game. Besides, why should I waste my time playing over 100 hours of offline Brawl just to get a single CD or somethin'? 😐

I may have not gotten all the trophies, but I still got all the cool ones I wanted (including pretty much all the boss trophies, all the Metroid trophies I was wanting, the Mewtwo trophy, and what not).
I'm done with that Coin Launcher thing now.

I just like to get the most out of a game, i don't know perhaps i am obsessive but i like to complete a game 100% gives me a strange sort of satisfaction, although some may find it sad.

Nah. I don't find it sad.

For me, it just depends on the game when it comes to getting "100%", and to me, Brawl's not one of the games worth doing that much on.

Ditto.
Some of the shit the game wants you to do to unlock certain items are insane.

Yeah i have certain limits for games, i have not really had much chance to play brawl.

what I meant was IRL friends.. everyone on my friends list I've either spoken to for a few years, or I have met them in person

I play this game alot, so it would be dumb to put him on my friends list just to have 1 fight vs ganon and never see him again lol

it was of no offense to you <3

well honestly I still havent gotten all the stages.. I kinda stopped 'achieving' after I filled the character roster

you can check out the sticker / cd factory videos on youtube if you wanna get all of those fast

the stages are annoying to get cuz you gotta do the goofy challenges

I'm the same way.

Right now I'm trying to beat 100 man melee with every character for a challenge trophy. I've done 10 so far ... it can be frustrating, lol. Beating Boss Battles on Intense is also frustrating.

I'm also at 439 trophies and 448 stickers I think. Not bad, but still much to do.

Don't you have any Golden Hammers?

Okay, I've been taking some time to actually playing it now. I bought my little cousin SSBB, while a few of my older cousins (around my age) and I started to play it along with my brothers.

We haven't unlocked everyone, considering the only new characters we have so far are Ganon, Marth, and Ness.

However, from the characters so far, after much playing, I would have to say, that Meta-Knight and Pit are two of the best so far.

I haven't gotten to try Toon Link, because we haven't unlocked him, however I hear he's either #1 or Top 3 anyhow. So I'll have to take people's words for it, considering this if the feed that I'm getting from smashboards.

Some of the things that where removed such as Wavedash and Shuffling have really, really pissed me off alot. Considering Shuffling and Wavedashing although they where not intended, added another lvl of gameplay to SSBM that is now no longer present.

However, most importantly, I feel that it didn't need to be removed simply for the fact that it was not game breaking to the game of Smash.

Those two things really hindered the way I would play Marth. Although Marth has some of his juggling potential in tact, his reach and his weakened ability to not be able to knock out causes headaches for me.

Simply because I'm still thinking SSBM Marth, so when I believe I can get an F. Smash in...I completely whiff, simply because I'm not used to the range of SSBB Marth.

Pit caused me the biggest problem, simply because the guy simply will not die. Not to mention, Edge Guarding seems 10x more difficult to do then it previous games makes killing Pit even more difficult.

That on the long run is going to be one of the biggest reasons why he'll be one of the best characters in the game. His K.O. potential is also very good. His Bair is very, very strong, and has tremendous K.O. potential. While his F. Smash is very solid and good, although it's range isn't super high.

Meta-Knight has the ability to come back very easily as well, due to his Tri-Jumps or where they 4 jumps??? Shoot, I can't remember, plus he has his Up+B to elevate that even more.

He's very fast, and his regular A attack almost completely covers him, however, I haven't played him enough to really feel his potential.

The guy that I tested out the most was obviously Link.

All I can say is, I'm pleased, yet very disappointed at what happened to him. Link has a better up tilt attack, which I like, and his new aerial Up+B simply because it chains so much better.

However, his SpinAttack is nowhere near as good nor as effective, which imo in SSBM they had it down perfectly, because it had great priority, range and potential, but poor recovery, which I didn't mind.

This version of SSBB SpinAttack feels like it doesn't really hit effectively, not to mention it's start up doesn't feel as quick as well.

His projectiles for the life of me, I do not understand as to why it's nerfed. His Boomerang feels incredibly weak, and his bombs are okay, and although his bow is better, it's still not even all that useful.

The nerfing of his projectiles really annoyed me, not to mention, his throws feel almost the same. However, when I do the down throws and the up throws...they fly too high for me to set anything up...at least for now.

However, at higher percentages, it's so difficult to land an attack right after the down or up throws with Link...which where an important part to his gameplay in SSBM, and very vital might I add.

His hookshot to the end of the ledge on stages is completely and utterly nerfed. As to why it was...I simply do not understand, because Link is not even that good of a character even in SSBB.

He can no longer Air block cancel into Hookshot anymore, plus the range of the hookshot is much shorter too, which is another factor.

All in all, I think Link is just simply okay, he moves better, but so far, at this very moment, I still feel that SSBM Link is better for the moment, obviously it may change when I play more, but at this time, it doesn't look like SSBB Link will be as good.

That's all I really have to say, in some ways I like SSBB, but in other ways, I don't like SSBB, no wavedashing, and no shuffling are annoying to me, simply because I feel that they didn't need to be removed.

Lastly...can't you do Online with 1 vs 1 options???? Because all I could see where 4 Player vs, not 1 on 1 match ups????

I would like to try 1 vs 1 against some of the online players...but couldn't figure out how to do it, so yeah.

That's because he is.

Okay, does anyone got this problem where when they play online, it takes like a second before a character can do a move?

Nope. I never had that happen before...had the game lag beyond reason but never had that happen.

You know what I'm talking about MM, when you're playing Brawl online with three other people having the time of your life and...oh yeah; nevermind.

I really hate that. I mean, the game goes at a normal speed but the attacks lag all the time, which really screws up my timing. It's really disappointing, seeing that I really wanted to play online.
