True...and so was Classic Mode. But the boss battles is a nice trade; I mean a few more wouldn't have hurt like Andross.

True, though a mode where you could play as the bosses would've been even better, and I hate how Boss Battle mode doesn't allow you to use any continues.

seriously yall complained about Mewtwo when he was in Melee all the time

Not me. I was quite happy with the way he was in Melee, aside from being too floaty and his side B not doing any damage when it reflects attacks.

Even if Ganondorf had a new move set I really wouldn't use him (and if Mewtwo is in the game I wouldn't have used him) since I've been using Meta Knight more and more.

I would've used 'em.

And I could care less for Meta Knight. Anyone can use him well, to the point that he's not really that fun to fight online anymore. In fact, I'm sick of fighting Meta Knight online. Same with Ike (compared to the other characters).

Guess I should be thankful that I don't have to fight Marth and Toon Link that often, since they're the most broken characters in the game.

Then why did you even include him in your last post?

No, no unlike them I don't spam B over and over and over again. I'm actually good with Meta Knight. In fact I rarely used B because in a 2 on 2 online match I used it twice (and we won) and they accused me of just spaming B.

Well.. not really.. Pit is the most broken character in the game.. with an instant high speed and aimable projectile, 2 forms of reflect, several normals with kill power, and the best recovery in the game bar-none

I'd agree on marth as well.. but I think toon link is just high-tier, not necessarily broken..though I personally dont fight him often

As for Ike, I just dont like his insta-back air, and the immune startup frames on his upB

Olimar is another character on my shit list... he can yank out what.. 8 pikmin in like 2 seconds? and they all count as a full projectile, along with his insta-animations, several of which have kill power

I also find Zelda to be over-buffed... she sucked in melee and now she's too good.. as Din's fire's hitbox is larger than its graphic, her reflect is spammable and has a small window in which to punish her (even has immunity frames), her teleport deals damage on enter and re-entry, and her air drop kick is nearly instant with severe killing power if sweet spotted.... this coupled with her multi-hit smashes that launch at the end make her quite a sick character

despite these.. smash is still a fun game

So that no one would complain, i guess he is an important villain as well.

So what I'm understanding is that a majority of the characters are overpowered

Nothing is broken in Brawl. :/ 🙂
EDIT: Lol, spell check!

it makes it more of a challenge, i don't see it as a bad thing.

Huh... Very well then, I guess. I'm accused of "spamming" moves on a regular basis, so meh.

Meh. Guess you're right about Pit, and yeah. I noticed that about Zelda (especially the part about Din's Fire)... It's the one overused move that's the hardest to avoid by far (too bad it can't be reflected), and I agree with most of your other points as well. Well-said. ^^

Not a majority. Only a select few.

That couldn't be farther from the truth..

-------

Meh. I wish Wolf had better recovery. 🙁 That almost always seems to hold me back, and at the worst times.
Other than that, he fits my playing style more-so than the other 2 Star Fox characters.

I also don't like how they nerfed Captain Falcon's knee (aerial) attack so damn much. 😘

Zelda's Up-air has also Ko'ed me (as samus) at 96%.. so watch for yet another idiotic instant-lolfreekill

and yeah the captain got nerfed.. but not as bad as ganon.. dude is just straight up unplayable.. 😘

nah.. there are alot of characters.. but a decent handful are very obviously high / top-tier

EDIT: Lol, I've never played a fighting game in my life

fix't.

You know I was using sarcasm? :/ = Scarcasm or "meh" or "lulz I care not".

You know it's difficult to tell when someone is being sarcastic with text only. But what I find funny is how a lot of people call a character they used all the time in 64 and/or Melee "nerfed". I find it funny because a lot of people thought they were good because they could defeat the easily manipulative lv. 9 AI of 64 and Melee and when they finally got a chance to go up against an actual opponent due to online they get easily pwned.

Seriously, Ganondorf is not unplayable; have you considered you just suck with him? Hey if you want to battle online (I'll use Ganny) against me with or without items then I'm up for it.

i would accept your challenge.....if i had the game.....and online working on my wii 😬

Um.. first off. I dont play ganon..

however.. that doesnt mean I dont know about him.. in melee he was basically captain falcons copy/paste with a noticeable but not game killing speed decrease

brawl ganon is even more slow than melee ganon. fact. and this decrease in speed is global for him (normals / smashes / specials / dodging, etc)

he used to have a great edgeguard with his holding axe kick... due to brawl ledge immunity, its crap now..

sure his warlock punch kills at fairly low %'s... but if you hit someone with it.. they must be severely braindead, lagging beyond belief.. or just not know how to play smash bros.

you have no good argument as to why he doesnt suck.. so why am I even explaining this to you?... go play more fighting games

So I see...
I have yet to get KO'ed by that move, but its increased power has still surprised me quite a few times. Guess I really do need to watch out for that..

That's what happens when they make some of the best characters in Melee the worst ones in Brawl (and vice-versa). It's the truth of the matter, whether you find it funny or otherwise.

Saying a character got nerfed has nothing to do with one's online performance. It has to do with a certain decrease of strength and/or speed of a character and his/her attacks.
In defense of myself, I simply said they nerfed Captain Falcon's knee attack because it's much weaker now. Doesn't pack the same kind of power it did before. Had nothing to do with me getting "easily pwned" online. In fact, Falcon still works quite well for me online.

it is pretty unfair, if you have a specialised character for Bros/Melee, you don't want to be taken out of that comfort zone and thrust into big new changes.

Which means in match's online people stop using the characters they want to use, or are skilled with because they know they will get pwned easily, i am all for character change, but a massive shake up never seems productive to me.

Nuff said. I know how to use Ganondorf; very well. Again, I'll be more then happy to take on anyone one on one (me using Ganondorf) to prove otherwise.

I've always found it puzzling that Link didn't seem to get any vast improvements, besides being slightly faster, the better Up Tilts, while his projectiles at least what I've been hearing where even more nerfed from SSBM which is a joke.

It was an absolute nightmare to already use him in SSBM during tournaments and competitions which was flooded with characters like Shiek, Marth, the space animals and what nots.

However, yeah, I'm fairly disappointed in what they did for Link, I wished he'd of gotten better improvements then what he originally deserve, and his projectiles getting nerfed imo was something that wasn't needed, considering they weren't even very strong to begin with.

Lastly, are you guys sure Toon Link is not the best? I've been talking with alot of the heads at smashboards and almost everyone says Toon Link is #1, or else Pit is around the same lvl.

Marth is great, but he is nowhere near SSBM Marth, and not having the ability to WD imo henders him more so, however the shorter range on his attacks as well.

He's still strong, but I wouldn't consider him better then Toon Link, Pit can be argued, but at smashboards, all I see is either TL or Pit anyhow as Top Dog.

Lastly, I'm a big no to having items, they are the most random pile of crap in SSB, they already have stages with random garbage happening in them, I would like to keep it along the lines of me vs my opponent only as much possible.

Yeah, thats what I thought.. no argument proving otherwise.. I don't give my friend code out to people who aren't friends, btw

-I dunno who's stronger of the two.. but people seem far more accepting to TL, as opposed to Pit

-I dont care for items either.. I haaate random bullshit during a 1v1
