Bioshock

i agree with HS6

the difficulty of control is depending on the person, obviously someone who plays PC all the time would prefer PC at controlling and vice versa with Xbox

PC however >>> all consoles so far

simply because you have mods, better graphics, upgrades the only problem is that PC can get cranky if you break something on it and if you dont know how to fix the bug/break or a virus you dont enjoy it but on a perfect system that you can keep clean of bugs and viruses a PC owns any Console although you cna usually have a bigger screen for a console because you can use your TV wherasl space for a comp monitor at least for me is lacking 🙁

No one can factually say whether the PC is easier to control FPS over the Xbox, or vice versa. It's a matter of opinion, and what one is comfortable with.

What you prefer may be opinion but it is fact that the mouse is a more precision implement and that all the best FPS players use the mouse and that when joypad users meet mouse users online in FPS games the joypad people get annihilated.

It is simply an accepted fact in the industry that mouse and keyboard is the best control configuration for FPS games.

As far as a sequel is concerned- well, their mistake was

Spoiler:
to kill Ryan
. They were a bit more careful to leave things open after System Shock.

There may well be a System Shock III, incidentally, but probably not by 2K so that's a shame.

There's rumors that System Shock 3 has been given the green light.

The funny thing is that I dont want an sequel for Bioshock. I want an different game because I just think those guys create great experiences but I feel that Bioshock doesnt need an sequel. It's great on its own.

But what I want is a fake documentry on how Andrew Ryan built Rapture, because Rapture as itself was fascinating. This is one time where if an good director had the rights to Bioshock, I would want an movie about it. Not an movie about the game, and your player, but an movie about how he built the city, the war in the city and how the city was destroyed.

One question though, how would 2k Boston do a direct sequel to Bioshock? I dont know if I want to revisit Rapture again because the major impact to me about the game was that it was an city under the water. Coming back to it in a sequel wouldnt be the same.

I haven't played the game , but I agree.

The little movie I saw by Ryan ( Some CIA Lapdog ? Or Russian spy , well goodbye...or Das Devanya ! ) was AWESOME .

From what I hear, the purpose of the ending isn't to be some mega revelation, just let you know that more is gonna happen. The same with Gears, it's a trilogy (Gears).

-AC

That may be the case but I would've loved to have at least seen more than the, what, 45 seconds they only offered.

o well.

What would've been kinda cool is if 2kBoston actually added an option (after beating the game) where you could've navigated through "Rapture"'s entirety when it was civilized. (pre-destruction) Just to see how it really looked like when society was around with some side/mini games maybe. Gambling and stuff.

haha I hated that "Welcome to the Circus of Values!"

"Come back when ya get some money, buddy!, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

I would turn the 360 off with that voice still in my head for some creepy reason. I even found myself repeating it at times. Wierd.

So THATS why I pwn Computer users on Shadowrun effortlessly.. precision only helps sometimes.

I can't believe he stated that bit as a fact...lol...

It's true, though.

There was an article done, where the best Halo team in the world went against the writers of PCGamer Magazine. The Halo pros used the control pad. The PCGamer staff used Mouse and Keyboard. PCGamer kicked their ass heavily because of the massive advantage mouse/keyboard gave them, even though the other team was better at the game.

yeh melt your consoles and controllers, or go and play fighting games like Tekken and SSF....

PC is where the real games are at

One time the 4th place Cleveland Indians beat the first place New York Yankees 22-0. Doesn't make it a fact that the Indians are better though.

This wasn't one time, this was as close to a scientific study as you can get, it was multiple sessions, the people using the mouse/keyboard won every single time by a large margin. And then I believe once the PCGamer staff began using the control pad after a while, and as soon as they did that, they lost.

This wasn't some fluke thing.

It's pretty well known and accepted that Mouse+Keyboard is the premier control method for FPS games, the accuracy and speed of the mouse is just undeniable, and those are the two most important things when playing an FPS.

Good for them PC peeps.

I can manage on the controller.

This game is awesome...haven't even finished yet, but the experience has been fascinating so far.

Nope,

Spoiler:
Nope, I think what your remembering is that Fontaine used Ryan's DNA so you can get past the majority of security easier.

Spoilers in this post incase you haven't beaten the game.

WTF, I just became a Big Daddy, and now I'm pretty sure I have to go to the whole and get a little sister, but she won't f*ckin come out. Is there something else I have to do? I couldn't really here what Tenebaum said, but it did say "Goal Completed: Become a Big Daddy" Is there something else I have to do before I get the sister?

I didn't kill any Big Daddies in that level yet, if that has to do with anything.

The Mouse does indeed grant better precision. That's why halo 1's multiplayer was so gay. You could actually score one-hit kills with the pistol, which had a scope. So for Halo 1 on PC people wpuld just run around on every map and get 20+ kills in ten minutes using just the pistol.

Annoying as hell.

Hit the thing that the sisters come out with your wrench.

But I think you should get the Little Sisters first.

They will come out even if you haven't dealt with every sister in the level. So he should just bang on that hole where they hide until one shows up.

Found this on the official 2k games forum...haermm
