You have to see that strategically...how are youi going to attack us? We have a good functioning army, and I dount we'd have a problem arming our people as well (also we still have conscription so a few peopel actually know what to do with it)....
Anyway, strategically your options in the military are limited because of various things (Aren't you German? Don't you have some kind of cap on military forces?), like the size of your country, neighboring countries, the fact that military would be relunctant to destroy it's own landscape with bombings, etc.

Yeah, certainly....but if we are talking about a ridiculous situation like this, I think Germany would decide to defend itself on all costs.....

That is one of the main reasons why I'll never give up my guns. America isn't exactly the most well liked country in the world for nothing. A lot of countries would be happy if were attacked and invaded and such. The Border Security at our borders are pathetic. The Border Patrol had 8 people on one shift in Pima Country and they were responsible for patrolling hundreds of miles. What kind of bullcrap is that? During my week there we only encountered and documented 9 sightings of illegal immigrants. That's it. I can imagine how much people actually slipped through undetected.
I got back late last night from Arizona and I can tell you from first hand experience that an invasion from our Southern Border would be really easy with a battalion of men. They'd walk all over our Border Patrol and right up our asses spread out through our various states all the way to Washington. All of the states with the strictest gun laws would fall first. As for the more liberal gun law states, they will put up much more of a fight than anti-gun states.

Hmmm , only if you let us in your country to watch football (I personally hate the stuff , but the Germans saying were all drunken louts kinda hit me hard , i also hate alcohol so it cut even deeper)

That is one reason I won't be travelling anywhere but England or Canada. *sigh* Our country is really in a bad way right now, and giving up our guns is the last thing we should do.
