Sam :

i spoke yesterday with some good Tekken 5 players and sf players and they agreed with me about the system of T5 and Sf3 3s. 3s is difficulter and harder. tekken is simple getting your opponents in the air and combo. attacks are faster avoided in T5. In sf 3 not cause your also working with frames and reacting in 0, 0010 seconds and i'm NOT joking!!!!

Daigo the number 1 fighting game player in the world said it himself.

''sf 3 3s is the best fighting game''

number 1 doesnt lose... he loses

Tekken fans are always talking about how deep tekken is, the game revolves around spacing and oki. and like I said the fact that 3D doesn't utilize the jump in is pathetic. and What so deep about a sidestep really.

heh.. cuz it can succeed or fail depending on your knowledge of the direction the enemys move is coming from... when you succeed the payoff is a free grab or something equally punishing... one time me and my friend had a funny round between hwarang and steve fox.. i was hwa and he was steve... I did a triple turn kick and he kept dodging them.. then I started jumpin over his sweepin punches.. my spectating friend started crackin up

people play tekken for 5 rounds anyway... at least tournament wise.. thats why I dont care about the health dropping issue that people seem to complain so much about

Yeah, but Uber juggles that cut your health down, death moves, and character like devil jin seems to make tekken tiers more solid than other games.

dunno.. law seems even with devil jin.. so he cant be too high tier

he uses old tekken 3 moves lol..

What tier is feng wei?

this was a nice lil write up on Tekken tiers and tiers in general

VIII. Tier Rankings and Misconceptions
_____________________________________________________________________________

Tekken is divided into tiers. The best characters being at the top, worst at
the bottom. It's generally excepted that the top four in Tekken 5 are Steve,
Nine, Bryan and Feng, Steve being the only agreed upon as the best. The
order of the other three are debatable. Law probably heads the middle-tier
and then it gets muddled from there. It's also generally accepted that Lei is
the bottom of the barrel, but Tekken 5 is still fairly new so things could
change.

And note on tiers: Tiers are based on "theory-fighting." In other words, the
tiers are created by looking at character match-ups on paper as well as
tourny results. Tiers usually shift a lot throughout the lifetime of a game,
especially in the middle. All things considered, though, every character in
the game can win. It's that simple. If you're good enough at the game, you
can beat anyone WITH anyone. There have been great players in the past that
have taken low-tier characters to the top before. The only reason tiers
exist are to show who has the easiest time winning.

Pretty much, take third strike. chun-li,ken and yun are top tier ( Especially ken and chun-li,freaking whores) each character has a good or bad match up. take my boy Oro. his worst match up is chun-li ( she out turtles him and can out poke him) watch An oro player (hung bee) but this chun and makes it look easy

http://youtube.com/watch?v=WWtjHy29oTs&search=oro%20%20hung%20bee

the chun player made quite alot of mistakes lol... missin a superart is just plain bad lol... watching chun-li is always entertaining somehow

3s is such a good game.. but I really dont care for the character roster... I'd like it if they brought back classic chars with that kind of quality instead

I disagree, Street fighter has always been known for revamping their cast. Take street fighter1 to street fighter 2 cast, the only characters they kept was ryu,ken and sagat. So it's not surprising that they change the cast. The classic cast is what it is classic, if they brought it back it would be out of place especiaaly considering storyline wise many people quit street fighting (Guile, dhalsim). It would be dumb to just bring them back.

He won the most Figting game tourneys EVER!!

Nr.1

Daigo, is the best third strike player in the world.

the man is a legend... he is on wikipedia

he won the most Sfa tourneys 1,2,gold and 3
he won the most Sf2, SF2T,SSF2 and SSF2T tourneys,
He won the most Capcom vs Snk 1 en 2 tourneys
He won the most Sf 3 tourneys,
He won the most Guilty Gear tourney's
He won the most Ex series

the man now doesn't play much cause he is rich!!! and he has his own foodshop, just enjoying life!! sometimes he enter tourneys and kicks everybody's ass or comes in the finals. there are more fightinggames that he has won. not only 2d

Umehara is good we get the point shin-remy.

most of my friends would rather play cap vs snk 2 over 3s... they say its too slow

Capcom vs snk 2 faster than third strike 😆

CVS2 plays like street fighter 2, the only difference is they try to mix it up with grooves. Grooves just add princeples from either capcom or snk.Regardless of what groove you pick.

Shin, I'm not arguing which is better because it depends on the player. I agreed SF is harder but I personally concider that Tekken is deeper because you can counter and dodge better, it is sometimes also comes to how good you can react and right timing and I PERSONALLY like tekken better. Still it is only my opinion so I can't tell what majority prefers. I only can tell what people prefere here, in Russia. And Diago is just another gamer.

If you read my post I was talking not only about tekken but about almost all modern 3d fightings. So if you wanted to adress that post to me then quote me. If you have something to say then say it to me and don't play a smart guy only because you have something personal against tekken fans because of one stupid thread.
