There is no problem. I'm just nitpicking because I'm a Guild Wars 2 fanboy and I'm going out of my way to dislike TOR.
Anyway, that was a painful to watch. As someone who has spent countless hours playing MMORPG's, doing raids, being in parties, etc etc, I am so ****ing tired of the "You need a tank to absorb all the agro here! The healer comes into play here! Now use your rogue/pure DPS'er to attack the boss while it's raping your tank heeeeyyyuuh!" formula. Been there, done that. With every mmorpg ever created in life.
Unless I see something really fresh and exciting in the future, I'm lumping this game in with Call of Duty 27 and Halo 6 as games that I'll buy only if a shit ton of my friends buy it first.

Oh.
Then why was Lucius pissed?

I'm rather annoyed with GW fanboys doing the above. It's approaching WoW levels of douchebaggery with the way its fanbase consistently has to hound TOR players. I didn't realize MMOs were like sports teams that required loyal, unwavering fanbases instead of folks who might simply enjoy a variety of them.

That's a knee-jerk reaction, Blax. If you were attempting to affect disinterest, the best strategy is to ignore TOR developments and videos. But nooooo.... You watched it in its entirety, searched for things you didn't like about it, and then felt the need to unload.
MMOs are a huge expense. Moving away from the common method of play could be suicidal, especially given that TOR's going to be the only major MMO that's pushing its solo ability and storyline. If you want different, go play Champions Online. I don't see this as anything but confirmation of bias.
Things TOR's getting right so far:
- Actual emphasis on player-driven storyline. This is by far its more noticeable unique trait and one that is almost unseen in MMOs.
- Equipment modding. Instead of swapping gear every other level, you can keep equipment and mod it for stats. This allows for better cosmetics.
- PvP. Beta testers are enjoying PvP, and its thought to be more tactical than WoW's battlegrounds.
Things to be concerned about:
- Graphics are a cross of KotOR and Timesplitters. Slightly cartoonish, but with realistic shading and color schemes. I hope they offer a hi res texture pack to alleviate this.
- Limited companions means some groups will have similar henchmen in tow.
- Not sand-box levels of open-ended-ness. So its' less like Stillwater and more like an instanced KotOR on a large scale.

I stated an objective fact, that TOR's gameplay is outdated (an objective fact that you agreed with, hence your attempt to justify it by bringing up financial suicide), and then explained why that objective fact has dissuaded me from looking forward to the game. That is not knee jerking, that is not "searching for things to dislike". In fact, considering that I never said nor implied that that was what I was doing, it's a little incredible that you'd have the gall to accuse me of such. Lacking enthusiasm for a game because its projected gameplay is oldfashioned and cliche = going out of one's way to hate it?

You don't see it as anything other than bias because you're the one who has an emotional attachment to this game, not I, lol. Proof?

I'd really appreciate it if I could be allowed to state my opinion on the game without you making personal attacks at me and accusing me of having some kind of malevolent agenda, thanks.

It's indicated in the description for the planet on the website that ancient, dangerous Force users were kept there. While it's possible he's talking out of his ass, I don't think BW would allow it on a demo vid.
Hayden Blackman, mastermind behind The Force Unleashed, went on record saying that Starkiller had the potential to be "the most powerful Force user ever." I think that Announcer-Guy could merely be exaggerating the scope of this thing's power.

It's the antediluvian in him, don't take it personally. sneer
