Pardon the double post!
----------------------------------------------
You don't have to read all of it at once, but the Yoda vs. Voldemort Battlezone is finally over!
Quanchi and I would appreciate it if you guys read over the debate that has consumed many hours of our lives for the last few weeks.
It's a large battlezone, but it is quite entertaining and comprehensively argued.
You can read all of it and then comment, or post after each 'round' as you see fit until you reach the end.
Here is the link:
Voldemort (Quanchi) vs. Yoda (Vos)
In my first post, there is a link where you can post your comments for the debate.
So yeah...please read 🙂
Yeah I tend to have that affect on people.
Though I havn't played Invisible War yet, but people tell me its a sack of shit anyway so whatever.
Spoiler:
Basically Deus Ex is if all conspiracy theorys were real. Its a dystopian future with a deadly virus racking the world with only one cure that only one company can make. Naturally they're the ones actually producing the virus ( Or was it teh Illuminati who did that?). America is policing teh world with UNATCO, an anti-terrorist force that really just kills the shit out of dissadents and only gives rich folk teh cure. Then you can choose to help the Illuminati keep the status quo, merge with a Super-AI the Illuminati created and rule the world as a techno-god (my pick) or completely shut down most of the worlds technology and return it to a new Dark Age. Also you can go to Area 51 and find some random aliens. Because you know, conspiracy.
IIRC though teh sequal has all of them happen somehow. Maybe someone else should do a synopsis on that.
Don't get me wrong, its a fantastic game that seriously looks at mankinds relationship with technology and all that juicy good stuff and I definately recommend it. Or at least check out Yahtzees review of it he did today. Its just..... conspiracy. Lots of conspiracy.
Oh, the new one is a sequel? Didn't know that.
There's a problem with the everything's-a-conspiracy storylines. It typically means that everybody (except perhaps for the protagonists) famous in history was part of some sort of cult or influenced by some sort of cult. Apparently, the idea that anybody normal could have changed the world is lost on them. You have to be part of a cult to run a nation, invent something important or play a guitar very well.
