3. Marka RagnosDarth Revan, the God and Father
4. Obi-Wan Kenobi
5. Exar Kun
6. King "I used my battleaxe to drive off an alien race that can harness the power of suns" Adas
7. Tulak "lolspamsithritual" Hord
8. Mace Windu
9. Yoda (Actually, in terms of kindness AND badassery, Yoda takes top)
10. Count Dooku

No Vader.... But Dooku!? 😠

Plus he's a balding 60 year old. He doesn't have the physical presence needed to be all that badass.

👆

Although I will admit, his final line is pretty cool...

You seem genuinely surprised at this development?

"You may fire when ready"?

No not really...

And I guess it wasn't his final line (gotta re-watch the movies) but rather his, “Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.”

1. He's British. Therefore, he gains immediate Dark Side points regardless of job class and feats selected.

2. He has the boniest face in the world. It's like Skeltor mated with Ian Flemming.

3. He holds Vader's leash, presumably in the bedroom as well as out of it.

1. I'm British. 😐

2. Oh wow, 'badass!'

3. Vader is a sub, so leashing him is hardly impressive.

No not really...

Yeah............
Dooku's badass, but his hypocritical fear {"Sith do not fear!" indeed, so why is it that you tremble when Sidious uses his scary voice?} keep him from supplanting the likes of Tarkin, who didn't fear a damn thing.

I was always peeved by this.

I've never seen Vader as incredibly interesting. He has a penis-shaped helmet, he has a goofy outfit in general, and he has the personality of an audio recording of Ben Stein's autobiography. His only redeeming trait is his ability to shrug off decades of being a self-centered, prickish bastard to save the son he barely knew and slightly maimed (and whose friends he tortured) in a moment of apparent mental breakdown.

The PT made me hate him even worse.

I was always peeved by this.

To be fair, Ethiopians drove off the Italians in the 1940s, so it's not like tech > all. Plus, we have no idea what kind of forces came into play, or if Adas did something as simple as force pushing a fuel reactor rod out of alignment. He did die in the effort, iirc.

This seems amusingly counter-intuitive.

Well not everyone can have good tastes.... 😛

Though mine are not nearly as appalling as his, I can freely admit to not being overwhelmed by Vader {At least initially}. Han isn't nearly the badass some people pretend he is-- Malcolm Reynolds is a lovable sci-fi outlaw done right.

Tarkin won me over in ANH, Vader won me over in TESB, and the Emperor won me over in ROTJ, and stormtroopers just made me unhappy.

i'm in the mood for a disney film

l8r!

True, Vader is significantly more badass in ESB. However, I can't remember the time I watched ANH without having knowledge of ESB and RotJ so it's kinda hard for me to judge him solely on that film. And yeah, Malcolm Reynolds is quite badass.

ESB Vader is the most 'badass' of any movie character. But Tarkin is the most intriguing and evil, even moreso than Palpatine. Vader is cool, but Tarkin is awesome.

Firefly > SW character? Really?

Well not everyone can have good tastes....

So you dig penis helmets and black get up with goofy chest pieces and deep black men's voices?

Noted.

I too have difficulty remembering my first time. All I know is that I was around six years old and after seeing

ANH

I begged and nagged incessantly to see the next film

ESB

I knew that the name of the Emperor was Palpatine or Sidious, and that Darth Vader had fallen into a pit of lava

RotJ

I wanted to know who the blue guy hanging out with Yoda and Kenobi was.

He looks a little angry about something.

I wonder how he'll react to Obi-Wan. And his replacement. I may actually be interested in this plotline.

I went in to that article with a nervous tick in my eye, and then I read this:

"The decision to continue Darth Maul's story was something that came directly from George..."

I've lost the use of that eye.

Lol.

Well Mauls been brought back before.
