I disagree, and here's why.
Gotye's voice is unpleasant; I cannot make out the words (at least in the first 45 seconds, which is as far as I've made it into the original version). He is not very fun to look at; watching the video of the song does not improve the musical experience in the least.
Matt Bomer, on the other hand, is as fine a specimen of humanity as the rules of etiquette allow me to link on a PG-13 board. I have literally watched him all day (White Collar is a lot of fun) and at one point he clips the word "rough" to sound like "ruff," which affords endless replay potential to the video.
Essentially, I will always choose Matt Bomer. That his competition in this case is a mumbling troll makes the decision that much easier.
