The Clone Wars is mildly entertaining in general and much of my following of it owes to interest in the meta-narrative and specific arcs. I haven't seen all the episodes and avoid some of the premise disinterests me (S5 droid arc, I'm looking at you).
As is often the case with this franchise, the show is plagued by blatant fanservice and transcendent SW flaws: clumsy dialogue, pacing issues, and tenuous plot points.
I'm revisiting my favorite episodes now. Currently, the standout for me is S4's "Massacre." Though imperfect (the entire baptism scene with Ventress was awkward), it was extremely entertaining and well-written. As has been the case, the standout episodes are the ones that focus on the bad guys.
It's hard for me to assess "The Lawless" fairly because Sidious's presence automatically makes it cooler and helps disguise some of its flaws. "Shades of Reason" is another great one.

I played a Jedi, didn't make it off Tython. Became excruciatingly bored an uninstalled it that night. That in and of itself is not an indictment of the game, I'm just not a gamer.
But the plot is downright terrible, not to mention laughably unoriginal.
There is certainly a meta plot, moron, concerning Palpatine's pale shadow and his ultimate desire to consume the galaxy.
Can't speak to the Imperial Agent storyline, but your endorsement doesn't inspire much confidence. You violently fap to the grimdark vortex of pretentious loquaciousness that is KotOR II... yours is not a worthwhile perspective. uhuh
Nah, thats purely the Jedi Knight stuff. Which is also a good storyline imo, at least if you play dark side.
Well stop me if this sounds interesting:
Spoiler:
First Act you fight a group of terrorists who ultimately turn out to be working for an insane Sith Lord who decides that the Empire isn't horrible enough and the only way to make it better is to orbitally bombard the population at random. After you stop him the second Act sees you fighting the Republics own secret service while learning that the Sith have shat their pants at the idea that you, a mere non-force sensitive, can stand up to a Sith Lord and win and have ****ed you over. The final act sees you fighting a centuries old conspiracy seeking to purge the galaxy of the Jedi and Sith, believing that they've ****ed over the galaxy so much that they need to destroy civilization and start over. The whole storyline is basically centered on the idea of Force users vs Non-Force users and seeing how you deal with being in a civilization ruled by insane superpowered fascists who **** everything up by being crazy douchebags.
Ironically, none of that sounds interesting except for the final sentence (you're lucky I kept reading, foo'😉.
Ancient conspiracies are always fun, as are attempts to purge the galaxy of both Jedi and Sith (Veneficus and I had a cool fanfic idea about that once). Otherwise, a non-Force sensitive standing up to a fully trained Force adept in nongimped combat is always laem and bad guys who do evil just to do evil is rarely interesting. Bad guys who do evil hesitantly to achieve a certain end or because they're sociopathic are fine, but indiscriminate slaughter for no reason seems silly.
TOR definitely has its moments and has its potential. Off the top of my head, morally ambiguous Republic practices, ancient Sith spirits plotting against Vitiate with Kun and his successors, the one Jedi who was possessed by Naga Sadow's spirit in Gnost Dural's history logs? Satele Shan, the flirtatious, quasi-promiscuous Jedi Knight? All great.
But, like Anakin Skywalker, it made a tragic, ill-advised leap in an attempt to conquer the presence of wisdom and quality and was justly smote, rolling back down the bank of inadequacy, where it was set ablaze by the merciless fires of widespread scorn and contempt.
Its charred, dying husk should be allowed to stagger on in anguish before dropping dead at my feet.
You don't actually have to fight Darth Jadus (yeah, I don't know why I spoilered the above). With the right conversation options you can actually psyche him out and get him to run away. You can also trick him into thinking you're oin his side and then disable his WMDs (Or join him for reels). The point is that a mere normal guy like you shouldn't be able to defy the will of a Sith.
Jadus does actually have a motivation for his plan, its just that it reads as basically being an deconstruction of the idea of a Sith-lead Empire. His idea is that Sith can draw on misery and acts of extreme desolation to become more powerful and these things make the darkside stronger so therefore the best thing to do is to bomb everything and create an Empire where everyone experiences nothing but pain, hate and fear. Its a believable plan for a Sith to come up with imo and effectively highlights the, dare I say, themes of the plot.
Also Sidious is just evil for evils sake foo'.

"Power? Do you think so? You would be wrong."

Also this reminded that I never responded to Neph's last post from like a month ago. Sorry 😗
