I didn't realize they'd come to a conclusion.Season 2 started about 3 months after I'd finished the first one, and then the slow pace really turned me off of the series. I admit that I would like to see what happens to the girl
Spoiler:in like #32.

Just took a gander and I've concluded that you all are plagued by warped psyches. This was some weird shit.
Kay I've knocked The Clone Wars often enough, but credit's given where it's due. That latest episode is probably the best so far in terms of inter-character dynamic and overall sensation.
There was something very pleasing about watching Anakin leading clones to chase down a Jedi. And the Fugitive-style ending was well played. Anakin and Ahsoka actually felt like real people--the voices sounded genuine and the body language and facial movements were expressive, both things that tend to be otherwise lacking in this series. And the design of the external prison looked... impressive. We're used to big CGI worlds from these guys, but they're usually rather standard and uninspired. That prison looked awe-inspiring and intimidating, very well designed. Also props to the proper intrigue they're building with the mystery rogue Jedi and the steady demonization of the Order as out-of-touch, power-hungry, warmongers. Moving away from the black and white Us vs. Them.
And Tarkin is boss, as always. Though one thing I've been wondering about: I know Anakin's important and all that, but why is that one Knight and his Padawan always getting the big jobs and sitting in the top military meetings? There's 10,000 Jedi, do no other Knights/Padawans merit brass councils?

I'm actually quite surprised that Anakin's hardly been shown in this season.

I'd expect them to be politically known enough that they're often requested for these things due to their trackrecord, plus Palpatine pulling strings (Anakin is, even publicly, known as Palpatine's Jedi a bit).
And there's likely other brass councils that have other Jedi like Plo Koon and Ki Adi and so on, we just don't see them as much.
One big reason for using them may be, while there are other great Jedi, most of them aren't in a permanent partnership with another great. I.e. Fisto and Shaak Ti don't hang out together, if they're together it's for a special assignment and they have their own separate responsibilities, and so on. They are the partnership in the order.
The only other high level Jedi with a regular partner I can think of is Luminara and Barriss Offee. I bet they get a lot of tough assignments, but Barriss is younger and less powerful than Anakin.
Ki-Adi-Mundi had a powerful apprentice in A'Sharad Hett, but by the time of the clone wars they didn't spend much time together.
