The idea of Sidious acting in an evil Kenobi role could be cool. Plus I do like the idea of a single villain connecting the entire saga.

Nay, I said he isn't a particularly great protagonist. As a general character and villain, he's excellent.

Besides, he's pretty much universally recognized as a high point of the films even by their harshest critics. You can't have a Star Wars episode without its Big Bad plotting behind the scenes.

I can't figure out which trailer gives me a bigger erection: the 300 sequel, or the Thor sequel.
