The discussion goes deeper than who is the worst guy, this isn't some kind of pass-the-parcel blame game. Why is Palpatine evil? Why are the Sith evil? Why are the Sith so intent on 'revenge' upon the Jedi? The problems with their order go pretty deep and concern a lot of their ideological assumptions of themselves, the senate, the republic, the sith, outsiders, and so on. These are interesting things to talk about EVEN IF the Sith have a higher literal body count.
The Jedi smushed their slave-holding, ruthless empire where they got to act as god kings, hence, revenge. Each master instills that in their apprentice and it's passed down. Also, focusing on emotions like revenge and hatred is part and parcel of their philosophy, as it literally helps them become more powerful.
The Jedi sometimes get a bit isolated and blind to threats, but they almost never instigate things.
The Sith did help to encourage the Republic's issues for a long time before Palps, purposefully to make them vulnerable.
With Jedi, even when they aren't at their best, they really aren't bad. Rather, there's more worldly eras of Jedi- where the Jedi are hard to blindside, but you're also more likely to see fallen Jedi due to their attachment to personal concerns- and more ascetic Jedi, where their isolation can leave them caught unaware by oncoming threats despite their power, but don't fall as often. The real question is more, "what is the best approach to protect the galaxy?".
Christmas TV is so crap these days.
Futurama X-mas special!
Btw, this is hands down the greatest "most realistic" fight scene ever.
