By close do you mean "no defense"? Cutler sucks btw. I look forward to Kaepernick's continued domination of the Packers' secondary.
Well, wasn't complete domination... Still, as a Packers fan, not so disappointed and sad. I never really expected them to make the playoffs this year, so there you go.

Yea it wasn't complete domination but going into Lambeau field with sub freezing temperatures and still winning is pretty damn impressive.
Wait until you read The Children of Hurin. Some dark ass 'heroes' there.
In any case, the romance subplot tumor I agree with. But Tauriel kicked ass and Evangeline Lilly is cute, so I approved of her appearance. Combined with racist chaotic neutral Legolas, it was the highlight of the movie. Comparatively, Bilbo received almost no screen time and Thorin's freak out on him went unexplained and almost forgotten.
Don't get me wrong, Tauriel is so hot that I'd shove a grenade down her throat while I beat her boobs in with a brick, but the romantic plot tumor was almost unbearable in its corniness and unrelenting douchebaggery.
Bilbo received plenty of screen time, like when he psychopathically killed the shit out of that spider for the Ring. That was cool.
Thorin's freak out on Bilbo is an... Interesting choice. I guess that the One Ring isn't the only jewel that drives people insane and obsessiveness. It being ignored afterwards is arguably justifiable because they were being chased by a ****ing dragon at the time.
I guess let me correct myself; I don't see Bilbo getting much character development this film. That was all used up in the first 200 pages, I mean uh... the first film of the trilogy. The killing of the spider seemed rather forced, to be honest. I didn't find it a favorable and well savored show of the Ring's lure so much as just shoe-horned in BS. A lot of this film seemed like filler and the earlier part of the film had a ridiculous amount of rapid fire edits and transitions.
And regarding his freak out, Thorin practically killed Bilbo. That deserves at least a momentary "WTF BRO", dragon or no.
