The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

My, my.

It has been such a long time. How is everyone? Janus? Faunus? Illustrious (probably not)? Blax? Nai? Traya? IKC?

Do these names still carry any weight around here or have they hollowed in my absence? I certainly hope not. We'd not want all of that effort to be for naught.

Yeeeeeah..... they gone.

Janus and Blax are still here though. as Stealth Moose and Tzeentch.

And I think it is significant to note that it wasn't a universal desire to split from the established government but rather a really complicated social dynamic between the separatists and Coalition of 2000. There were heroes and villains on both sides and the Jedi caught in the middle-- wait. Who was I talking about again?

But.... but the database said you did. You can't tell me that something I read in an Assassin's Creed game is inaccurate. You cannot tell me that shit bro. >:[

Wow. What kind of stupid ass assessment is that?

The assessment of someone whose entire knowledge of it comes from this game.

I still stand that it was pretty stupid in rl too.

The character development was total shit in this game.

I know right? Connor himself is boring as shit. Humorless, bland, angsty and short-tempered. I seriously think that Ezio was a fluke and these guys just cannot write compelling characters at all.

To me, Haytham was the best or second best character in the AC games. They had a chance to develop him even more but they messed up.

And I would have loved to have played as a Templar for once. Theres got to be a reason people keep joining them and they manage to get the upper-hand all the time.

Jealousy from the losing side?

Yes, I'm so jealous of your obesity and religious xenophobia.

That's why they made Black Flag. Mostly naval combat, less of an assassin game and more of a pirate game.

I'm looking forward to getting to Black Flag, though I really do wish that these games could be about assassination again. Yahtzee hit the nail that every game has focused less and less on that aspect.

Stealth Moose? That seems like an odd choice. Blax is dope, a bit. Where is that rapscallion? Get him the hell over here.

Everyone? That's one part unfortunate and another part constructive, I suppose. Antediluvian was ballin', though. Seriously.

Are you/were you anyone?

I am no-one. 🥷

Blax is now Tzeentch. He's on the lat page.

Nai still comes around like, maybe two time a year. So I guess you could say he's still here.

Nai was one of my favorites. I liked all of the Ante guys and even some outside of our "group." I think the foes I picked up during my time here tipped that scale, though.

I've seen some rather scathing and even apocryphal remarks about myself. I was an average debater, at best, and an absolute prick but a troll? That was never my style. I incited with what I had done but never did what I had done to incite.

I can understand the confusion. It's a common term online and my "way" wasn't so far away from that.

Things are much different now. Not so average any longer. Still a prick but I've done a massive edge-sanding, in regards to that.

Time can change or stagnate, I suppose. I was partial to the former.

Haytham Kenway was probably the most influential templar in the entire series and his motives were completely sound.

Sorgo?

Yeah, which one were you?

Right?

If so: hi, long time.

How are you doing? Good lord, no need to come on my account.

Just kidding, I'm pretty damn important.

No, but seriously, what's up?

Take it to the showers

Good. You've been gone awhile.

Meet you there?

Indeed I have.

I'm not sure what triggered my return. I suppose the "old days" crossed my mind. I have socks kicking around this forum but I've forgotten passwords to some of them. I've forgotten what my feet look like, I have so many.

I needed the time away, I suppose. I was just a bit of a c*nt. Despite my previous claims, I'm quite different now.

Do you still work at that telecommunications company? I could be wrong on that but I believe you said you worked there.

For those who have questions, feel free to ask. For those who'd like to discuss what you've been up to since I haven't seen you, do that too!

I don't anymore although I am looking into yet another call center job. I would offer to be more verbose but I am typing on a touch screen and it take forever to do anything. I still don't know how people use these daily.

No worries. I'm not the biggest fan of them myself, which is why I went back to my Blackberry.

We shall catch up another time, most likely when you're not tapping your way into carpal tunnel syndrome.

Oh momma, I'm in fear for my life from the long arm of the law...

Neme, what are your thoughts on Angel now that you've finished it?

It was better than Buffy. The lowest point was season 4 (Not counting The Girl in Question, which was dog dick), but it was still of more consistent quality than Buffy was.

👆

I find that Angel is enormously underrated as a character. W&H is one of the best Big Bads ever (attn: Holland Manners). Wesley, Spike, Illyria, and Lorne all rule.

I actually re-watched a few episodes of Buffy a while ago and was amazed at frankly bad it was.
