Really don't know what to think of the How I Met Your Mother finale.

Man, I'd forgotten how in Twin Peaks pretty much everyone was cheating on their partners. Holy shit, its like every character in a relationship is unfaithful.

Thought you were referring to the Pierce Brosnan film.

Oh, wait. I'm thinking of Dante's Peak. Hm.

Hello, new favorite site.

This is an example of how media can affect the way people feel and act at the societal level. It is for exactly this reason that positive minority representation is important, Dave!

What do you mean by positive minority representation?

Iunno I'll read it in a bit.

I think it would be better if we stopped placing so much importance on race.

I'm sick of all of this bullshit hypersensitivity.

Dave asks every so often why it matters that athletes come out, or why so many ("so many"😉 tv characters are gay. My answer is that the media kids (and adults) consume helps to determine the way they see the world, and also themselves. This seems like evidence for that last point.

(Race sensitivity isn't bullshit you asshat)

I find it funny how its always ultra-privileged white men who talk about how annoying racial sensitivity is. Because gosh, we wouldn't want to annoy them, amirite? 🙄

True, but I'd say some people take things far too seriously like that recent Colbert tweet. But I've never had to deal with racism so, yeah, such things could be far worse than I realize.

OK, I am not insensitive to any actual racial discrimination that goes on, but when I ask someone in class to stop being annoying, and they just happen to be a minority, I am so ****ing sick of them playing the race card.

When there is truth behind the race card it is justified, but too many people abuse playing the race card and it pisses me off.

I'm sure there's a few among the fellas here whop have some strong opinions on America's prison system.

I'm black.

Political correctness can be really dumb and oversensitive sometimes.

There we go.
