After watching season 6, I do think Tim Curry made an excellent Sidious, better than had I expected. I, at first, thought I'd have a hard time getting used to his voice, but it actually grew on me very quickly. He did just as good as Ian Ambercrombie. However, as Chancellor Palpatine, Ambercrombie is better, IMO.
