Why would I do that?

Actually, it's quite great - though it's hard to read, as Erikson throws the reader into the midst of the storyline. But there is so much fun stuff going on in the latter volumes, that its absolutely worth reading them.
But unfortunately the author chose to make it hard to get into (Not hard to read) so that readers would have to "prove" they were worthy of reading his series. What a cock.

Hard to get into it was what I meant. Erikson described it himself as being thrown into a marathon - either you keep going or give up. As for the "hard to read": The wealth of plots (and subplots, and sub-subplots) and characters may be enough to confound people. The "Chain of Dogs" storyline is one of the best pieces of fiction I've ever read, though.

Started watching Hannibal at Neph's urging, just got to the part whereSpoiler:
Will Graham plays a man's vocal cords like a cello. So many horrible feelings.
What did you think of the human totem? F*cked up, huh?
It doesn't get better either. Season 2, episode 2 almost made me throw up.
