almost, see:Tyrion] absolute pragmatism one bit. It was actually in Season 2 that I realized how much I liked him:

in his pursuit of the Brotherhood after the attempt on his life, he orders Gregor Clegane to "burn the villages, burn the farms. Let them know what it means to choose the wrong side."
And instead of going "not the innocents!" I was like "mhm, mhm, very good."
I can say this about several characters, sure, I'm riveted in his every scene. Standouts might be

the exchange with Olenna Tyrell concerning the future of Ser Loras, and the entire set of scenes with Arya,
but they're all great.
