I thought the US played Germany extremely well honestly.
Yes, they did. But they were playing in an extremely destructive fashion (with a six men defense line and additional three players before that). Wasn't much fun to watch for me.
I think they have a great chance against Belgium. I'm less optimistic about Argentina and totally pessimistic against Netherlands.
While I do think you're correct regarding Belgium, I don't know about the rest. Argentina hasn't played that great so far, only narrowly winning all their games. Their defense sucks pretty much. And while the Netherlands did better, their game against Australia didn't impress me much.
Really believe it will be Germany and Netherlands.
Well. Germany needs a better playing Oezil and a better conversion of chances. Switching between offense / defense could also be a lot faster, as it was in 2010. Mueller is in top-shape, though.

Yea I think they figured they had no shot without Altidore so it was pretty defensive. Hopefully they get him back for Belgium but I doubt it.

Argentina is a one man team but that one man could beat the US by himself. I was impressed with how Netherlands responded against Australia within 5 minutes. They're better than the entire US roster top to bottom.

Yea Ozil has not impressed me this World Cup and I think he is their best player. They definitely need him at his best against Brazil.
