I know, I have a 55. Still, my toon is level 30 so at this point 50k is significant. Besides, it's not like you go around giving away 50k to random strangers.

Yep, and yep. All the EU has been thrown out actually, and the SWTOR "has and always will be a part of the EU." Well not really thrown out. They say that they still are trying to learn from it and honor it, but it's in the Legends Universe now.
