NOOOO! KOTOR is amazing work... SWTOR, meh. But KOTOR... Fvck you, Disney.

What do you mean 'separate continuity'?

Separate universe. None of it happened as far as the new movies, comics, books, ans possibly games are concerned.

All the old EU is part of a different universe. No change now, but over time we'll start seeing differences enough that it should be thought of as separate especially the post ROTJ stuff. And I'm sure we'll eventually get a new bane story since he was in clone wars.

But separate universe doesn't exactly mean non-canon.

Non canon to the main movies, yes.

technically nothing is fully non canon by that reasoning as it is always part of it's own universe. But it is not part of the official star wars canon, so we have to treat it like a separate universe since obviously all the work stills exists. Just was by disney stated to not be connected officially to any new properties coming out, though they may draw ideas from it.

Huh, that kind of ruined my day. Really they should have just had the Emperor kill him.

IMO, they've made a huge mistake. Making the EU non-canon probably pissed of a ten shitloads of fans.

They'll get over it

All in all, this has been a pretty entertaining and amusing day for me.

Nope. We're already past that mistake.

SLASH! Welcome back, brother.

Dave, rumor is every time you post a FOX article you take a year off of Dom Mazzetti's life, no givebacks.

Voluntary civilians captured in a foreign warzone isn't a good enough excuse to send soldiers to their deaths in a war they barely understand that will have outcomes that no one can predict and no Western will want. A couple of Americans' deaths aren't worth hundreds or thousands of Americans' deaths.

There you go.

However many it takes to not send in troops. Hundreds of thousands of American deaths? This isn't Vietnam. Combined air and ground support would wipe out any enemy combatants in that region. But then again, I believe that it is our duty to come to aid of the persecuted when we can (thank god we finally woke up to Somalia). You're in the "if it doesn't affect me I don't care" camp.

We'll agree to disagree. And yea I misread your thing, sorry. I saw "of".

Huh, so this is interesting.

Interesting indeed. Would definitely make me give Obama more credit than I would have previously, as this would be a tad inconsistent with how he's handled these affairs in the past.
