Most of the world doesn't look at California and think America, either. California is top 3 in the most bankrupt state categories. The single greatest benefit they can offer is movie stars supporting the rest of the bankrupt state.California pretends to be a bastion of enlightenment but ends up shooting itself in the foot.

It's amusing how the rest of the world views America, compared to how America views America.
In the eyes of the Europeans at least, California is Americas saving Grace, the place you'd want to live if you lived in America. The healthy state with beautiful scenery and great attractions... Like, literally everyone loves it.... Then you guys kinda hate it.

Both? I kind of doubt it. No one's happy about everything on that large a scale.Anyway, I have a quite few native Texan friends and they hated it there. But I'll be fair, it's a big state. I'm sure some parts of it are really nice.
Eh some parts are nice, Dallas, Austin and El Paso seem pretty cool. But yeah, one of the reasons I kind of dislike it is because of i live in a small boring as crap town lol. But yeah, other than that every little city is pretty nice imho
California is nice if you want to go broke living in some nice areas because the expenses there are outrageous. California is also nice if you are desperately clinging to the hope that you're a progressive, enlightened, unique snowflake.
Texas is nice if you want to make the most money while having the highest standard of living possible.
Also I've never met a European who thinks "California" when he looks at the US. It's usually NY.
