Now that I've gone back over it, what do you mean? I thought the Seneschal was explained pretty well in game. S/he shapes reality and forms it in the same way the Arisen creates pawns, by willing it. Just takes the role of "God" or the "Maker" or what have you. Is there something you had in mind for that kind of relationship going deeper than that? I mean, ES' insanity is pretty well established, where as D'sD is more metaphorical than anything.
Well, there was a darker tone to it imo.
The Champion(you) fights several people over the course of the game that really have a deeper meaning to them.
The eye of truth damaging you when you look at him = the human mind not being able to comprehend the truth of their existence.
Damian represents what the Seneschal could become, what one did become, in biblical terms, the devil
The eternal fall is a nice twist on the law of identity, hell the whole game is.
Plus bestowal of spirit is highly akin to theory you sent me if you think about it, the MP becoming exactly like it's master, sometimes to the point where they take the form of their master(Selene and the players MP are perfect examples)
The Seneschal represents that law of identity, yhere's always a new one. Always a fight with Grigori, and there's always going to be a battle for free will etc.
There's a lot more I thought of that made me actually strike up a conversation with Sinious over the idea of free will. Honestly I could go on but I've got to go back to work.
I'll PM you later? Or do it here? Idfk
