Absolutely loved the movie. It's probably my favorite one, to be honest.

Looking forward to seeing Luke in the 8th movie. Kind of sucks he was only in TFA for like a minute, but meh.

Ridley was fantastic and critics agree.

She played the role well, but she's clearly inexperienced.

Pacing was fine.

In the first half of the movie it was perfect, then it kinda fell off.

The fight scene with Kylo and Han and then the Kylo fight should have cancelled out any issues you had with the Starkiller base fight.

No, not at all. In RotJ there were exciting scenes on both sides of the battle. It not okay to half-ass one plot because the other is good.


The idea that there's some other Palpatine-tier being takes a shit on the Chosen One prophecy.

Good, the prophecy was dumb. Besides, it's Disney's goal to take a shit on the PT anyway.

Reason why I don't like Disney tbh. They're blinding themselves to an epic saga. Sure it sucks in some ways but to completely reject it leads to stuff like the shitty dueling scenes in TFA.

Even from a storytelling perspective, there is absolutely no reason for them to reference TCW. It's a more distant conflict and is far less relevant to the current conflict than the GCW.

Rebels has a lot of call backs to TCW. Also the PT should be kicked in the nuts. It blows.

I'd need to see it again to really cement my feelings on it. Certainly liked it more than all the Prequels.

I've been watching a lot of reviews and reading stuff and even though everyones loved it theres a bunch of problems they pointed out I didn't notice. I want to see if those things really impact the movie.

Well clearly they didn't if you didn't pick up on them.

Remember: a good movie's primary purpose is to entertain. If it did that, it did its job. You may simply just wish to chew on your impressions for a bit. The hype train eventually departs and what you're left with is the actual substance.

The duels sucked in this.

It was like ANH where the duel wasn't the highlight of the movie. But instead was more of an adventure movie.

Yesterday. Then I got stuck in Taunton cuz the buses stop at 6 in the countryside where I am and it was all pretty miserable. Needed to get a taxi and pay out my ass.
