Tonight was a good night.Heroes was awesome.
Noah Bennet is among the most badass fictional characters to ever grace the screen. Not remotely. If he calls her "Claire Bear" one more time, I'm going to puke.
And please tell me you cringed when you realized he got Sylar and Elle in his crosshairs and then waited for them to finish having sex before pulling the trigger.
His fight with Sylar was alright, although it wasn't a surprise to anybody that he was going to kick his ass, and the "kill" was appropriately brutal. Of course, it would've been cooler if we hadn't all known that Sylar (and Claire) were going to come back alive in five minutes.
Anyway, an eclipse lasting that long is retarded, I actually guessed half a dozen lines before they came out, and this episode sucked.

Boston Legal was very great, as well. Red, did you see it? I'm looking forward to Alan Shore versus the Supreme Court, round two.
God yes. No, scratch that. Yahwe yes. This was great. It was the first episode that I liked Carl Sac (sp?) as a character. I like that they've thrown the fourth wall to the wind: He almost said "Boston Legal" during the case. Do you know if next week is the final episode? It seems like there should be at least 2 more.
I don't know what I'm going to do on Monday nights anymore.

What the hell? Now, I've only watched the first season of Heroes because I'm too lazy to get a copy of the second season and I can't find a channel where it airs here, but... Sylar got into a fight with Noah? And Noah actually won?
What happened? Did Sylar lose his powers or sumthin'? Did he turn good? Was Noah discovered to be all-powerful and omnipotent?
Either way, this is STUPID.

You're high. There are two characters who drive that show: Sylar and Bennet. Not Peter; he's an idiot. Not Mohinder; he's an idiot. Not Nathan; he's an idiot. This episode was primarily about them. Ergo, it was better than the rest.

Yes, it was pleasant in that it reminded me that, beneath all of those many levels of stupidity, Mohinder has a modicum of intellect about him.
Not remotely.
Right. This coming from the guy who thinks that the pill-popping cripple on an otherwise boring show is a godsend? Bennet is not only cunning and clever (I refer you to thinking in Japanese during the first season or manipulating answers out of one of the Company's greatest operatives in the second season) but he could also physically kick more ass than anyone else on that show.
If he calls her "Claire Bear" one more time, I'm going to puke.
That he loves his daughter and does his ruthless deeds to protect her is an interesting motivation, which adds an extra dimension to his character. I refer you, again, to the pill popping cripple who exists simply to be a prick that you think is a godsend. He has no motivation, no progression. Bennet? Has 'em in droves.
And please tell me you cringed when you realized he got Sylar and Elle in his crosshairs and then waited for them to finish having sex before pulling the trigger.
That was lame, yes. But Kring had to have some way to throw in a sex scene, I guess.

Kring had the same issue with Bennet himself in season two. I can only assume that it's because people would throw a bitchfit (like I did) if they had to sit more than one commercial without finding that their favorite characters are still alive.
Anyway, an eclipse lasting that long is retarded, I actually guessed half a dozen lines before they came out, and this episode sucked.
Deal with it.
Sylar got into a fight with Noah?
Two. But it's not exactly the first time that those two have tried to kill one another.
And Noah actually won?
Yep. And with only moderate difficulty. Though, Sylar's a decently muscular guy, and he did get a couple of good hits in.
What happened? Did Sylar lose his powers or sumthin'?
Correct.
Did he turn good?
"Good"? Nah. He was tamed, somewhat, by Mrs. Petrelli and temporarily became Bennet's partner in the Company. That could have been a badass season arc.
Was Noah discovered to be all-powerful and omnipotent?
Dude, you realize that there is a reason that Noah Bennet was one of the Company's most skilled agents even without powers. They call him the Heroes' "Batman." He's obscenely cunning, clever, a great pistol shot, and he's a trained killer. As Elle puts it: "Without our powers, Bennet is the powerful one."
There are only a couple of interesting characters. Hiro, the Haitian, Elle, Sylar, and Bennet. And the last two sit proudly atop them all.

Right. This coming from the guy who thinks that the pill-popping cripple on an otherwise boring show is a godsend?Quote. Now.
Don't put words in my mouth. I think House is funny, not exceptionally intriguing or multi-faceted, and I claim him to be superior to Alan Shore in jest. I've never even watched Boston Legal, although I might check it out to replace the trash heap that has become Heroes.
And if the fact that House not being in House would make the show boring is a valid indicator of, well, anything, then I point you to every fictional work ever made that revolves around some central character or event. Heroes without Sylar or Noah? DC without Superman or Batman? Marvel without Spiderman or the X-Men? Boston Legal without Alan Shore or Denny?
Bennet is not only cunning and clever (I refer you to thinking in Japanese during the first season or manipulating answers out of one of the Company's greatest operatives in the second season) but he could also physically kick more ass than anyone else on that show. This does not make him one of the most badass fictional television characters in history. By far the best character on the show, but not among the greatest ever.
That he loves his daughter and does his ruthless deeds to protect her is an interesting motivation, which adds an extra dimension to his character. And the manner in which that "extra dimension" is being depicted is retarded.
I refer you, again, to the pill popping cripple who exists simply to be a prick that you think is a godsend. He has no motivation, no progression. Bennet? Has 'em in droves.Completely irrelevant. I've never seriously said that House is a godsend or anything of the sort, and I've certainly never said he was one of the most "badass" television characters ever, or the "greatest orator" as you claim Shore to be.
And my issue was with the nickname "Claire Bear." When I hear it every other episode or worse, multiple times in a single episode, it sickens me.
That was lame, yes. But Kring had to have some way to throw in a sex scene, I guess.Imagine actually having two characters with a well-developed or at least believable relationship having sex. At least with Mohinder and Maya we saw some skin. Plus, Dania Ramirez is multiple times hotter than Kristen Bell, as much as I like the latter.
Kring had the same issue with Bennet himself in season two. I can only assume that it's because people would throw a bitchfit (like I did) if they had to sit more than one commercial without finding that their favorite characters are still alive.Permanently killing Claire and Sylar at this point - especially the latter - would be incredibly stupid, but the "death-revival" cycle is, again, old. Both of them have already died at least once.
Deal with it.With the fact that this episode sucked, and that after a second chance to breathe some life into a show that was originally spectacular, the writers and producers have managed to make it worse?
I have.
I've never even watched Boston Legal, although I might check it out to replace the trash heap that has become Heroes.
Series Finale is in a couple weeks. Sorry man. On the other hand...
WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT!!! WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT!!! WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT!!! WE'RE GOING TO THE SUPREME COURT!!!

Noah never struck me as being all that badass-looking. Though, then again, he didn't exactly show his uber skills of pwnage in Season One.

Sucks. He was a pretty darn awesome villain in Season One- going from comments about a love affair with Elle and this... did he turn into something of a more humanized anti-hero?
He's the sort of character that works best as a villain, IMO.

I love Hiro, and Sylar is most definitely an awesome character.
Major Spoilers: (I forgot to tag, sorry)
Hiro was hilarious for a while, but making him think like a ten year-old when he already royally ****ed up three times in the first episode and already acts like a ten year-old was retarded.
The Haitian was awesome, but the thing with his brother was mind-numbingly pointless. Ando grounds their stories a bit, which I like. Nathan is more idiotic than usual, and Peter needs his powers back. Mohinder should just get written out and be replaced with a cooler Indian guy, and Claire needs to grow the **** up. Parkman is getting irritating, which is surprising considering how much I liked him earlier on, Daphne is absurd, and Tracy is just a stupid character.
Sr. Petrelli is still a total badass though, and I am very pleased that Sylar isn't a third Petrelli brother. Between Nathan, Peter, Angela, Arthur, Claire, Meredith, and Flint, there was just too much going on with that family and its relations to throw in Sylar.
