Nah, I don't think so; as I said, lots of the candidates play the national pride card. Trump is doing so well because he's different, less status quo. Same reason Bernie's popular, honestly. Neither of them would have made it a few years ago, but people over here have shockingly been unsatisfied with our recent leaders.

He's doing well because he's sadly the best choice out of the shitty candidate pool and he's a different candidate than the establishment. An unknown always appeals to some people, while others fear what they don't understand.
