lebron was also saved by an uncharacteristic spurs collapse and the greatest clutch shot in nba history by ray allen. We all know what happened next year. In those nba finals, the spurs played the best basketball i have ever seen.
Shots go in shots go out. Spurs are great but then again so is LeBron. Where he goes teams are hugely upgraded. They are the only team to overcome a 3-1 deficit against a fantastic GS Warriors team. Facts, amigo.

You think so? I'm not as sure as you are, tbh.

He won 2 rings and FMVP, and an MVP during MJ's reign. Has 2 quadruple double, 20+ career PPG, 10+ RPG, 3+ BPG. He was the prototype of the modern Centers, yet still could contend with the 90's beasts like Ewing and Shaq. Was a defensive force with 2 DPOY, and 5 All-Defensive 1st team and 4 2nd.

Lebron is 1-2 against the spurs. That's his kryptonite. Neither the spurs nor okc are one dimensional while gsw is. The way okc played for 2 weeks in the playoffs, nobody was going to beat them.

Nobody is criticizing lebron here. I just think the other two teams would have presented bigger match up problems than gsw.

Except the GS Warriors beat them and the Cavs beat them in seven. He beat the Spurs. The Spurs looked pathetic this year in the playoffs. Looked old. Folded like a cheap tent.

They did look pathetic after game 3. Leonard was the only guy who showed up. But okc also played the best they've ever played. Then they went back to okc and choked away a 3-1 lead. Sure, lebron has beaten the spurs. He also lost to them twice, including the most lopsided nba finals of all time.

Well this years Cavs were pretty badass in the playoffs. You also said Okc would beat them. Spurs looked worse this year than in years past. Duncan looked awful this year in the playoffs.

1. He won that MVP when MJ was retired.
2. Prototype of the modern centers? Kek, no center today can lick his boots.
3. I agree, one of the best defensive centers ever alongside Russell, Mutombo, Ben Wallace, Dwight Howard, etc.

Now, what kind of player was Oscar Robertson?:

1 Ring
1 MVP during the height of Chamberlain and Russell, (given the context, this is an absolutely insane feat).
9x All-NBA First Team
Averaged close to 26-10-8 for his career
Averaged around 29-10-9 with the Royals
Averaged 30-9-9 during his playoff runs with the Royals
Averaged a triple double over the first 5 seasons of his career
Averaged 30 ppg 6 times, second only to Wilt and MJ; led the league in scoring once
Led the league in assists per game 7 times
Had 41 triple doubles in a single season
Slightly lower PER than Hakeem (23.2 to 23.6) but noticeably higher ws/48 (.207 to .177)

Ultimately, what makes me put Oscar over Hakeem is his sheer versatility. He could grab boards like Russell Westbrook, score like Kobe Bryant, and pass like Magic Johnson. Hakeem was certainly the better defender, rebounder, and clutch player, but Robertson really excelled in every phase of the game.

Is Kyrie Irving a top 5 player in the NBA?

Yea unfortunately. OKC should have won this year the way they were playing up 3-1.

Curry taking mad L's. I expect him to come back even better than before next year.

Without putting on muscle, how?

Develop an actual mid-range game, ala Chris Paul - instead of jacking up 25 footers 'cause reasons?

But yeah, dude could afford to put on some weight, while, in the process, achieving a viable inside drive he can fall back on when his 3's aren't falling.

He has a midrange game, he just refuses to utilize it.

Lmfao @Curry having a better season than this past year.

Given he played like shit when it mattered , yeah he could.

Or else Tony Romo is a G.O.A.T.

Yeah but he played in the 60s. Stats in that decade are like big **** on a fat girl, it doesn't count.

Adjust his minutes and the pace of the game to the 90s and Hakeem would shit on his stats.

I meant the playstyle, not the effectiveness. Meaning he wasn't just a chunk of meat under the board, could guard on the perimeter and score beyond 2 steps from the ring.

Lets not forgot Big O had a habit of wilting in the playoffs...look at how drastic his averages drop in the playoffs...

Robertson's Reg season stats 27-7-9 48% FG; 83 % FT
Robertson Playoff stats 22-6-8 46% FG; 85% FT

LAL. I guess it makes it that much more embarrassing that Oscar STILL has better advanced stats, (which account for minutes and pace,) than Hakeem. In fact, Oscar's 3 best seasons are all statistically superior to Hakeem's absolute best. Making a statistical assumption without research isn't an argument. 🙂

In regard to being the prototype to the Modern Center, again, KEK, but this time for 2 reasons:

1. There is literally no center like that in the NBA today. I mean Cousins is the closest, but he can't even defend the paint, much less the perimeter. 😂

2. Hakeem, as versatile as he was, is still at the bottom of the top 5 centers.

In regards to Oscar "choking," he didn't choke at all, KEK. Look at the years in which he made the playoffs, and compare the stats, and you'll find your answer. Hakeem was more clutch than Oscar for sure, but Oscar still beats Hakeem at his own game: versatility.

Neither is an argument to bringing up his triple double seasons from the 60s when they wouldn't even be a double double in the 90s 😬

Also where do you get his advance stats? On basketball-reference most of it is blank.

Horford? Turner (even though he's just a rookie)? And that's just from the teams I follow.
