Agreed.

I'm not sure it's the GOAT trilogy but I definitely agree an argument can be made in favor of that.

And if we rate each game individually [instead of as a trilogy], all three rank in the top 10, imho.

Also, I was under the impression there was going to be a ME4. Anyone know anything about its progress?

The Witcher trilogy is better imo. Dark Souls is also a contender.

Stuff from ME4 has been shown and looks pretty sweet. Its called Mass Effect Andromeda. Go check it out.

I'm upset me4 is a new story but I'm interested to see how they rationalize going in an entirely new galaxy when it was previously imposdible.

Far better really. And in a lot of ways it's superior to ME2 and 3.

I haven't played Witcher games.

I definitely will.

And yeah, as far as storytelling goes, ME1 takes the prize between the three of them.

Definitely worth playing, the first one is a bit of a slog, but its got charm buried beneath the dated crap.

The books are also pretty great, like pretty great.

Not sure I'd totally agree with the first part. I enjoyed the first Witcher tremendously. I think its story is probably better than ME 1's was. And Witcher 2 and 3 are better than any ME game imo, so thats a pretty significant factor.

Nice. I might actually consider buying it, but I honestly need more feedback other than Neph's.

I wanted more of Jade Empire. Like, another 20 hours of narrative, or at least a reason to use the fecking map of the empire (with only 2 destinations per chapter)

Jade Empire is meh to me. I wasn't really drawn to the story.

Hated the voice acting

Mass Effect is a rare series in that each game gets better by a fair amount imo.

Unlike Dragon Age.

Except ME3 is worse than either of the first 2 games.
