Sidious's goal was to destroy the Republic, destroy the Jedi, and rule the galaxy. The longstanding Sith goals. He succeeded.
No question that he failed to achieve his personal endgame, live eternally and rule everything ever.
Well, her primary goal was to prove herself right and train someone who could live without the Force/turn away from power. As well as freeing herself from the Force. So she succeeded just as Sidious did in bringing down the Republic and establishing Sith dominion over the galaxy.
Sidious' ultimate goal was omnipotence and immortality. So he failed in that just as Traya didn't destroy the Force.
And it's also why she's far more interesting than most Sith. She isn't just sadistically enjoying the pain of her subordinates and the death of the Jedi. She wants to prove herself right, and she wants to achieve balance - she just doesn't believe that it's possible with the Force. She believes that balance is only possible when the galaxy is free from the Force.
