The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

For the record, obama did play the race card multiple times. It may have been subtle, but he did. All of his unite america speaches were based on the fact that he has had experience on "both sides of the spectrum" being that he's half black and half white.

Also, I believe that bush is entirely smart. Think about it, he was leader of the world for eight years by the people's voluntary will despite being a poor public speaker.

Someone can be an insanely intelligent person without being a good public speaker. Unfortunately, he made a few blunders, and the media tore him apart and magnified every little mistake. I don't think he did a particularly bad job. I think he was an average president who was unfortunately the best option, who's career was crushed by bad times. I don't believe that he was the cause of the bad times, just someone who was caught up in it and blamed for it all.

Also, if you'll remember, I still believe that bush was the best option for president given the option between him and al gore and john kerry.

There's a difference between everyone around you being stupid, and you being smart.

I'm going to pretend that I'm high and hallucinating, because this can't be real.

Rofl.

I still believe that bush was the best option for president given the option between him and al gore

*Shudder*

See, it is remarks like this that make it difficult to respect you. You're clearly pretty smart, but sometimes your bias makes you incapable of looking at the facts. Besides, Bush didn't win 2000 (yeah... I'm still bitter about Florida) and Ohio in 2004 was dubious as well. Anyway, some of the decisions (the terror memo, especially) place Bush near the bottom of the average presidents for me. He's no Hoover (going into depression) or James Buchanan which is his only saving grace.

Hell, you totally destroyed the last bit of security I had. 😠

Reported.

By the way, why don't more people use smilies, they're like the ultimate way of showing how you truely feel. Except for the banana smiley, that one's just, mental.

my point is he is not as black as everyone paints. He's not reagan, but he was a pretty average president. I'm tired of people who are incredibly biased who say bush is "the worst president" or "thank god he's out" or something like that. The truth is, he's not the root of all of our problems, if 9-11 didn't happen, i believe that everyone would still consider him a good president. Unfortunately, 9-11 showed all of his faults and his poor wartime logic and tactics ruined his career.
