What I'm saying is..if we're going to blame the suicide rates of trans people post op on society itself, we surely need to examine other historically oppressed groups and those suicide rates. Because that is the only real way the narrative of "it's just society, it's not because they are mentally ill" works. They sure as hell haven't suffered as badly as those who suffered at the hands of the nazi's. They surely haven't had to experience slavery or systemic racism. The only thing they are denied is having to use the correct bathroom, as opposed to "trans gender only" drinking fountains, schools, restaurants, etc.I empathize with the mentally ill. That is why I'm disturbed that we are asking children to choose genders and hell in Oregon they made it so 15 year olds can get transgender surgery(on the tax payers dime). You don't even need parental consent.
You ask how we change this? Let us assume for a second this is a mental illness and let us assume it's not societies fault that they still kill themselves post op. Isn't the solution obvious? We stop giving them surgeries and shit and indulging in these crazy fantasies.

I'm trying to think of reasons people kill themselves besides mental illness or society and all I can come up with is..people who are terminally ill.
I'd say if something increases your chance of suicide astronomically, it fits even the medical definition of a mental disorder. I mean, sorry-not-sorry if that hurts people's feelings, but the truth is it's a serious medical issue that certainly needs to be examined more before we start using the scalpel on teenagers.
It's not normal. That within itself is not bad, but it being compounded with causing one to end their own life means it's something that really needs to be helped.
The strange thing is I've seen a lot of adult transgenders who are just as disturbed by encouraging children to be choose a gender as any other rational adult would be.
It's not even the trans community that is encouraging this kind of behavior. That is the most disturbing part of all.
On top of that, it's not even always the trans community who are the ones whining about bathroom rights. This is all just very bizarre.

But as we have seen they ARE stilling kill themselves, even post operation. If the claim is that this is societies fault we need evidence and context.
If it's not society that makes them do it..it's because they are mentally ill, and someone who is mentally ill should not be indulged with pointless surgeries. We sure as hell shouldn't be told to change our way of life to indulge the mentally ill.
Wouldn't a mentally sound individual who is TRULY secure with their sexuality and their gender change..not really give a shit what society thinks? They aren't being hunted down and lynched here. They aren't being told to go sit at the back of the bus. They aren't being chucked off buildings.
