The guy's justification for the electoral college was that we need to worry about the land area of winning states (???). He's a class A level idiot, .i.e. Trump's base.
It's a pretty good recreational activity tbh, and a pretty good bonding activity with friends.
Something awesome about it is that you can get high then do other fun shit, like get high and watch TV/A movie, get high and go eat a meal, get high and go swimming, or just get high and have a chill conversation with someone.
Plus its pretty good stress relief.
To clarify, the electoral college was specifically considered by the Founding Fathers to be a check on the people. The Founding Fathers recognized the easily changing and uneducated view of the American public, and thus instituted the electoral college to counter that. I find it laughable that people now want to get rid of the electoral college because they were unsatisfied with the results. If they had an issue with the electoral college, it should have been addressed before the election. Furthermore, the notion that candidates would have to campaign in all fifty states (which is the case if the electoral college is abolished for popular vote) would be virtually impossible and extremely expensive. It would completely destroy any chance of a non-establishment or rich man running if they would have to get the funds for something as unprecedented as that (it's also worth noting that many of the main people who support that are (recent) immigrants - just saying).
