There is when I think you're contradicting yourself when you believe in humanity and factors. I believe in humanity. I believe in the fact that we are responsible for our choices, right or wrong. If you are to believe every choice is made based on external factors, then we are not individuals or humans, we're just the product of the environment.
Btw I was watching some more Nazi history on THC and I have no issues with you whatsoever, but I do firmly believe anyone who doesn't think the Nazis, and especially the high ranking officials, deserved death for what they did, is seriously mentally ill.

Way to prove my point about not contributing anything resembling value to this discussion. Ever.
And notice how while I dislike liberals, I'm having a fairly reasonable debate with MC. But thanks for making my giggle like a little schoolgirl.

There honestly isn't a point. I've quite clarified my beliefs upon personal responsibility (interpretation, subjectivism, genetic factors, societal factors); you do not choose the way your psyche forms, but your interpretation is inherently unique and individualistic. Everything we do is some form of response to a societal factor; the response, however, is ultimately up to both the very abstract concept of 'choice', which is, in part, dependent upon the way the individual's mind formed at childhood and such.
Now, I'd rather live my opinion of the Nazis out of this. Being that we are both Jews of radically differing ideologies, this is clearly going to be an excessively heated thing.

2.) I was mockingyoujoking.
3.) We've been over this. Last time it started with you randomly calling me a troll [despite the fact that this thread encourages "spam" and banter] and ended with me proving conclusively that you're a sock [REX agrees with me, btw].
Now have fun on my Ignore list (again) until my tolerance for stupidity shoots up (again).

Hey, I deal with your stupidity daily so I guess it goes both ways. Have fun typing your usual incoherent ramble.
And me calling you a troll is well founded. Random trolling in this thread doesn't apply to actual debates here which you have yet to participate.

So one last time, explain how you can believe in humanity and then say we aren't responsible, or as responsible as societal factors? That's the part I honestly don't understand.

It's been twenty minutes, and KMC is already less fun.Ignoring people shouldn't be an option...
Well, I can't ignore you because you'd take all the supposed superiority and quasi intellectualism out of KMC and we can't have that.
You know what you should do though, while I'm allegedly on ignore. You should get yourself one of those 90s mood rings and voice your displeasure depending on what mood the ring says you are. Should make for a more entertaining KMC.

Edit: DS I'll have a response for you in a sec...
That's it? I had a 104 one back in high school. I felt like I was high. Speaking of marijuana, did anyone see "Knowing"? I felt the first hour and 15 minutes were great, and then the last 45 minutes left me wondering why the director and writer started toking up, and how much they actually had as the movie kept going.

We've moved from "pseudo" to "quasi"? Someone's expanded his vocabulary.Anyway, I can't ignore him if you quote him. Be a little considerate.
And Red; I had 102 during the flu last week. My fever sucked more. I win.
Oh of course. I guess it beats the typical "you're wrong I'm right" faunus post.
Now really sweetheart, make up your mind. Either I'm a troll or I'm not (despite what you really believe to be reality). Either you're ignoring me or you're not. We don't need another John Kerry on this forum.
I've also hit 104. I'm not there now, but I know what it's like. Thank jebus I didn't catch that again.
Anyway: on personal responsibility and social awareness:
I see no contradiction between a belief in humanity, a belief in the individual and an understanding of psychological factors. Basically, I think people, not a 'sky-god' are the key to a better world. I also think that people are responsible for their actions but that no-one does something for no reason. Both the socially beneficial and socially destructive acts (which are the easiest to lump into 'good' and 'evil'😉 are caused, at least in part, by one's upbringing and environment- not to mention innate personality & abilities.

That doesn't work. I said the exact same thing regarding Sidious66 but did you listen? No. (That was supposed to sound as snide as possible. Just use your imagination.)
I think DS uses 'quasi' and 'pseudo' intellectual as an insult because he is afraid of sounding like a 'librul' or 'elite fatcat' and getting lynched. Those texans are scary. For true.

Well, it's a blessing you don't have your degree in psychology. I actually use them because I laugh at the perceived superiority of those certain groups. Not to mention, I'm liberal on quite a number of stances, so that wouldn't make much sense.
