Well I mean, Hux hasn't exactly shown anything promising these past 2 movies, that whole call scene with Poe just frankly destroyed any shred of redeem-ability on his character for me. It'll be hard pressed for me to take him seriously the next movie after all that.

I haven't rewatched the movie, so such small details are elusive to me. I am not claiming that what you said is incorrect, as all interpretations by definition are valid, but I would need to see the scene before opening my mouth. What is certain is that her handling of the situation was not looked highly upon by a significant number of people on that ship.
Plenty of incompetent admirals have existed throughout the mythos. They didn't last very long though; just like Holdo by the end of the movie 🙂 .
There is no double standard between Holdo and Mothma. The latter has plenty of content in both legends and canon establishing her as an outstanding politician, negotiator, and head of state.
I'd be willing to discuss the neurological differences between men and women with you in a dedicated thread if you'd like. It's funny too, as it came out of the mouth of my snowflake liberal professor at a snowflake liberal school.
I've seen it twice and I remember it perfectly. Don't be a chicken and just admit you're wrong. If you can't remember the movie maybe don't open your mouth at all about it.
There were about 8 people who Poe convinced to follow him. Not significant. Its to be expected though considering none of them were familiar with Holdo while Poe is a member of their crew and the hero who blew up Starkiller.
Like I said, Leia wouldn't have trusted Holdo if that were the case and would have demoted her like she did Poe. You're being ridiculous.
I said in the movie. That Mothma has 40 years of expanded universe material benefitting her, while Holdo has had barely 2 months, is irrelevant. The fact is that Lucas' original rebellion was helmed by an aristocratic older woman. It hasn't suddenly been infested by the SJW's.
I'd rather suck a car battery than have an extended conversation with scum like you. Even this is pushing it.
Originally posted by HaschwalthNah, I would say when Hux started decimating the shuttles that was suspenseful, when Kylo had the Resistance cornered only to be stopped by Luke that was suspenseful, I'd even say when Phasma emerged from the flames to kick Finn's ass that had a layer of suspense to it. As did Kylo's will he won't he with Rey after killing Snoke. Despite being a bunch of petulant wannabes and cosplaying try hards they are still capable of presenting a threat, unlike say a more conventionally intimidating but blindingly incompetent villain like Grievous.
I swear there is no one within this new series apart from Snoke, who can make the setting feel tense. They are down to a dozen fighters, yet their is no suspense, it doesn't feel like they are in a helpless situation. It's just poor writing, with shit character creation.
Also the fact there is reason to care about their story arcs beyond their role as obstacles for the heroes, especially Kylo, is a mark of good characteristation.

I am amused by your inability to grasp you aren't accurate but continue to believe yourself to be. You are an arrogant social recluse who clings to his reading and self reflection because that's all you have in your life so it's predictable. One would think you'd work on your social skills because just like a hot woman who is dumb because she doesn't have to be smart to get what she wants in life due to her sex appeal you're on the opposite end of the spectrum. What she doesn't realize and what you don't is that a healthy balance of both sets of skills will make you happier than simply going all in one facet won't ever fill up the black hole inside you.Hurry the **** up you know I'm not here as much over the weekend so you are pissing away three days on purpose. Skip school if you have to just get it the **** done, nerd. If you're another excuse maker like Ellimist who accepts debates to later claim I'm too sweet for you Quan to actually engage you I won't ever take you seriously again like him. I can't stand liars and people who say one thing and don't follow through.
Let's have the debate. Once you agree to do so don't look for a way out. Do not disappoint me.
My social skills are acceptable for my current situation and continue to develop while you sit around rotting away both mentally and physically.
Skip school to debate a fictional character with an equally fictitious online persona; sounds like a brilliant idea considering how expensive tuition has become in recent years. Tell me, was this how you conducted yourself all those years ago at kent?

I've already told you what differentiates Holdo from Mothma in their portrayals.
It's sad to see how hostile you've become towards me in such a short period of time; I was genuinely hoping we could share our common admiration for a character together. I am an open-minded individual. If you have articles to share on the neurological differences between men and women please do, but there is a reason why only 20 percent of women study engineering & computer science, and why half of those eventually leave the field to pursue other careers like teaching—and it's not just social hostilities from men.

A diverse cast is good as long as it's just a character who happens to be black, or a character who happens to be female. Not token black guy, and female empowerment kickass superheroine, or god forbid a race/gender washed character like black Achilles.

Care to join in? I'm in the mood for roasted, middle-aged, liberal elitist wannabes.I've offered twice to meet you IRL. You've cowered away from both offers for what I can presume to be a fear of exposing yourself as the fraud you really are; that or you're genuinely scared of a 150 lb college nerd.

Right, that's why I specifically included him among the examples of incompetents
Well you're right; I shouldn't be dwelling into great detail if I haven't rewatched the movie, but as of now I stand by what I said. Holdo was presented as immature for her so-called great militaristic accomplishments, and a quick glance at wookipedia supports this with Leia describing her as "annoying at times" and "easily distracted". Sounds like Hux to me.

Welcome back, sweetcakes. I was beginning to miss you 🙂 . You should post more often.
I haven't lied about anything meanwhile you're obsessed with me which is another win in my book. I've had this effect on posters before you and I imagine the trend will continue because I am quite exceptional.
Another foolish statement by you which is glaringly false. You're grasping at straws but doing your best to be as creepy as you can be because I am your current obsession. I'm better than you and deep down you can't hide from the blatantly obvious truth you're a depressed recluse who is weighed down by life and the decisions that come with it. That's the gift that keeps on giving you're going through pain trying to discover your path. You've openly cried and sought counsel on a message forum you loser. Most posters come here to debate fictional characters because they have a passion for it whereas you are interviewing possible mentors.
Yeah skipping schools inter in college or high school would completely ruin your life and turn you into a poverty stricken bum. Quit being dramatic and get it the **** done. You've been embarrassed by Neph for your Star Wars ignorance and you should just take a break from kmc if debating is too much for you. Man up, kid.
