The Battle Bar, Our Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

*Shrug* I'm more of a motive kinda guy. Murders usually have a semi-reasonable point to them, rapists just want 5 seconds of cheap pleasure. To me... its just on another level of cruelty and inhumanity. Nottomention murder is also usually relatively quick and even if its not theres the promise of release, rape is inhumanly not quick and stays with you for the rest of your life.

And I like Morality, Cracker. crackers

Every crime has motive, or doesn't. There's no real distinction here. LL is right. One strips you of dignity and THAT is worse than anything except death.

u know, i think the victim should get to choose. If not possible, the next of kin or w/e. Problem is, the criminals are so often more cruel than the victim, so in most cases, the victim would still be more likely to be more merciful than the criminal.

If it's a reasonable victim, then g-d help the criminal. If it's one of those liberal douchebags, then we're screwed. Since this country is still(and will always be) predominantly conservative on most social issues, I'm fine with the state/country determining the fate of capital murderers and rapists.

I think that's getting far to personal and close to revenge, though, don't you?

No, it's justice, although it very many cases, revenge and justice are the same thing. That doesn't make them any less valid.

As long as the victim/victims next of kin is satisfied that's all that matters in my book.

So what if the victim or his next of kin wants nothing to happen to the criminal, we should just let him off?

No, in that case we kill them for lolz, by the most inhumane way possible, or send them through challenges like in Saw I/II/III/IV/V/VI.

Oh wow, that suggestion was even more badass than LL's Colosseum. Wow, Saw challenges. Man I hope I go all the way to the Supreme Court just to pass that law.

If you pass that law DS...Please will you hire me to come up with some ideas? *eyes sparkle malevolently*

No wait, think about it. If they pass the challenges, what are we going to do then? Not let them go I hope.

No ofcourse not don't be stupid. Test number two Clicky.
We'll put one survivore from each prison (if there is one) into a Cube. In the Sahara or something and at the end they'll be asked..."Do you believe in God?" If yes, they live and are free, if no, they be Incinerated by a gout of flame.

You are just full of badass ideas.

On another note, I spent an hour discussing healthcare reform with a homeless guy. I didn't know that some homeless are against government run insurance. Smart people, very impressive.

win

Who has the time and motivation to make a list like that?

one thought though: a girl does have the power to say "rape" after any bout of consensual sex. So that is the main problem with these ridiculously harsh sentences. Dude might be innocent, then what have we done?

Send the girl too.

Why thankyou DS. I got bored a while back and started making a model cube, animal experimentation if you will, it cost too much for me to finish.

That's the trick with this one. I haven't been able to think up a reasonable deterrent from any would-be b*tch's malevolence.
