Yeah, I've been working on it consistently since I launched the project...I don't use the forum anymore because I didn't feel that it was worth it. I've got about three dozen documents on everything from character biographies to proposed timelines.
oblivion annoys the crap out of me. I have completed lots of quests, but i never level. And the swordfighting is so weird. I step back out of range of the guy in front of me, and he swings, and i can see that he missed, and i STILL take damage, and i put up my shield, and i STILL take damage. and i can't tell when he is about to die or not, so i keep bravely swinging away...
I'm getting frustrated. I like the element in RPGS of keeping track of stats, like he has 12 hp left, and my weapon does 6 damage, so i have to hit him twice... BUt that doesn't seem to take place in this game. sadness. I was hoping for more.
yeah, you are definitly right about the shield thing. I don't like that element where I can't step out of the way of an attack though. Its like KOTOR, where they still hit you anyway, even after you have moved, because it is THEIR turn or whatever. But since it seems to play largely like a FPS, it feels like i SHOULD be able to move out of the way of an attack like in Academy.

well, i will keep that in mind. i hope the combat gets smoother. I almost die in every single encounter at this point. and do die every time i face more than one opponent at a time. i guess i will learn control. Mostly seems like i'm just swinging wildly right now.
Hard Set:/ Yeah basically the more you use a skill the quicker it will level up, so setting them as minor skills meaning they'll start at a lower level (not ideal (makes it harder)). You only level up when you sleep, you don't have to sleep, i finished the game at level 3 and it was still a challenge because i couldn't use higher level spells. I just liked fighting scamps instead of

If you want to experience the game in its fullest the first time through, then level up. Keep in mind though that enemies you encounter level up as you do. Things like rats and mudcrabs become one shot kills, and bear and mountain lions getting easier. But you start running into bigger monsters and daedra, and bandits with better stats and equipment. It's an annoying combat system, I feel. I used to debate over which game I preferred, Oblivion or Fallout, but Fallout definitely wins now.
