In one of my rhetoric textbooks, the author actually talked about this. How it is very common for high school textbooks to be biased on way or another.

I find it embarrassing. The whole conservative/liberal debate aside, there should be little to no bias in textbooks. I don't want the new generation growing up more left than they already are. Getting Reagan out of the textbooks? Ludicrous.
