Well in all fairness, that thing on my posts about an inch from this sentence that actually says I'm a man could just be a clever ruse. 😉

No, Yusanis or whatever and Mandalore from the mando wars. The Tarantereks on teh other hand are on Korriban and you have to fight them alone. They're monsters Exar Kun made that are natural born jedi hunters. They're also immune to the force.

Its mostly just becuase you guys get so moody about it, but it really does piss me off that Revan is canonally just another human male hero. Becuase we really don't have enough of those in the mythos. 🙄

Also I'm a feminist.

edit: Behold, and remember Teh Terentarek:

I hate the term feminist. Humanist is far more appropriate, and I really hope you aren't a Whedon style feminist.

And Star Wars has lots of strong female leads, especially considering its target demographic.

Whedons feminism is basically creating a male character and then giving him boobs. I don't really like or dislike this aproach but I find it condescending to only celebrate typically male values and gloss over everything else. Meh, apparently he thinks a way to write women is to give them balls.

But they're always the side-kicks, villians or love interests. 🙁 Theres very few actual protagonists. Theres Scout, Zannah, the Exile, Sunrider and Jaina kinda (though I loath how they handle Jaina most of the time) and thats really it. And in every case (except Exile) they're secondary protagonists. I suppose theres Celeste Morne but shes just a spin off...

Look at the movies, theres only Padme throughout the PT, then Leia and maybe Mon Mothma in the OP.

You forgot Revan.

Prove Revan was male.

It's canon. Dumbass.

Revan, renowned as "the Revanchist" and dreaded as Darth Revan, was an eminent Jedi Knight turned conquering Dark Lord of the Sith until, stripped of his true persona, he returned to the crumbling Jedi Order and helped defeat the Sith Empire. - I know Wookiepedia isn't a decent source but check the comics for yourself if you disbelieve.

Oh and a Canon quote from the game.
"You will have gone from being the Sith Lord himself, to the savior of our galaxy."

Sorry, forgot your fantasies about foursomes with Kreia, Mission, Jolee and a female Revan.

This is going to make me sound like a prick, but I disbelieve. I don't have the comics. Perhaps the author of the article simply assumed Revan was female.

Really? I have plenty of those too.
Revan was one of the greatest military leaders in the galaxy. In history. She had no use for a people who had already been beaten once. She said the time of the Mandalorians was over. The Mandalorian wars had killed us.And she laughed."

Mandalore to Visas

Dude... its been a canon fact that Revan has a penis for awhile now.

Where the **** have you been?

So... the game isn't canon? I didn't kill Malak with a plasma torch? I thought Revan was a hermaphrodite.

Random question: Is there any material that is completely lightsaber-proof?

(I'm not talking about force fields and the like, either.)

There is a canon version of the game's storyline. Supposedly. I've never bothered to look it up.

Aside from the blade of another lightsaber, there were rare materials that could withstand a lightsaber blade, but with varying degrees of success:

* Cortosis, although a rare and expensive metal, was a popular defense against lightsabers. Purified cortosis ore had the ability to momentarily "short out" a lightsaber blade, rendering it inoperable for a brief period of time before the wielder could reactivate it. Cortosis alloy was sturdier than purified cortosis ore, but was only capable of deflecting a lightsaber blade and not deactivating it. One reason why cortosis was so expensive was the need to refine it. Pure, unrefined Cortosis ore was—for unknown reasons—dangerously ionized and anyone who touched it would be killed instantly. There were multiple methods of forging cortosis armor and weapons, each with varying effects.[source?]
* Phrik, was a rare metallic compound that could withstand a lightsaber blade, although unlike cortosis, Phrik did not possess the ability to cause the blade to short out. Phrik was most notably used in the construction of the electrostaffs wielded by General Grievous's MagnaGuards. Other notable uses of Phrik included elements of Palpatine's lightsaber and Dark Trooper armor.

A tikulini's skin could withstand a lightsaber strike

* Darkswords were an ancient type of sword made from a special material that could parry lightsabers. Unlike cortosis, this material did not possess the ability to temporarily deactivate a lightsaber blade it made contact with.
* Armorweave was a cloth said to give some resistance to lightsabers, although the protection the reinforced material afforded was limited.
* Sith Alchemy was employed during the eras of the first Sith Empire to augment the properties of metals so as to counter the seemingly unstoppable lightsaber. The Sith also made use of such elements as cortosis in the forging of their Sith swords. After the original Sith Empire, the most notorious use of Sith alchemy was in the construction and reinforcement of Darth Vader's armor.
* Mandalorian iron: A metal found on the planet Mandalore—known as beskar in the Mandalorian language—Mandalorian iron could be forged into several configurations to take advantage of its exceptional lightsaber-resistant qualities. Commonly used in the creation of Mandalorian armor or weapons, the metal was also used to construct the door sealing Freedon Nadd's tomb.
* Force Weapon: Weapons imbued with the power of the Force could be used to parry a lightsaber's blade without harm.
* Water: All lightsabers, unless specially made,[14] would short out when they were submerged in water, due to rapid chain reactions and the instant overpowering of water on the blade. In rain, a lightsaber would steam up, but not short out.[15]
* Zillo Beast Skin:A Zillo Beast skin was both lightsaber proof and blaster proof. It showed its affectivness when Anakin Skywalker tried to attack the beast.

Other counteracting materials existed in the galaxy, such as various energy shields. Some animals, such as lava dragons, were possessed of natural armor that reflected the blade[source?]. Superconductive materials (e.g., Ultrachrome, Quantum Armor) deflect lightsaber strikes.[16] The skin of the Tikulini worms of Jazbina was able to withstand a lightsaber strikes.[17]

So going by that Cortosis, Phrik, Tikulini skin, and Darkswords are the only non force enhanced materials that are saber-proof. Cool, thanks. 🙂

and Beskar.

Beskar as well...

I remember a while back someone was adamant that Mandalorian iron is completely lightsaber proof.

...Then I posted the scans of Exar Kun slicing through it like a hot knife through butter (after adjusting his saber to "high intensity."😉 Heh.

So why aren't the Cav's playing big Z?

I've always said that Lebron has no post game and when he encounters a defense that clogs the lane, he's ineffectual. It was pretty damn obvious yet again. I've always wanted to see the Magic and Celtics play. It's like a Rocky vs. Drago matchup.. Hopefully the Celtics can take care of business at home.

He was quite obviously hurt tonight though. Ugly actually. He wouldn't take jumpers, and he wouldn't drive the lane. He still had 24/7/4 with 3 steals and 2 blocks, but he wasn't himself.

But why not play Z? It makes no sense? They had jamison guarding Garnett. He didnt' have a chance.
