It doesn't take much work to go and read up on how much Communism fails and has always failed. You don't need to take college courses on it.
But no, people see the problems with Capitalism and immediately jump to the conclusion that Capitalism is wrong and evil and must be replaced by the working man!
They never stop and think that perhaps, just maybe, Capitalism is not a perfect system and like any other, has issues. That just maybe, instead of going with Marx's ahistorical delusion, that it might be better to look for ways to make Capitalism better and fix what problems we can. No one is arguing that some people get the short end of the stick in Capitalism, but quite frankly at least in Capitalism you are allowed to discuss and debate ways to fix the problems. No system is perfect and it is the constant flow of ideas and economic connections that allows for Capitalism to grow.
Not so in Communism. Deviations from The Party line will inevitably result in persecution because after all, Communism is the "end of history."
