So, I was playing Jedi Academy through again, and I got to the level where the imperial takes your lightsaber away and makes you play a level without it. So i use notarget to run through the level, and I get to the end, and spawn Luke Skywalker just for the heck of it. He proceeds to leap straight from the floor in the hanger to the very top floor to kill the boss. All in one leap. Do you remember how high that was? Was there absolutely no limit on how high that NPC could jump? Because that was ridicuous.
You really should. Tis epic winsauce. Though the one with Kyle Katarn was possibly better (second half of the game anyway). Mostly becuase of the steep and fun learning curve when you get a lightsaber. Tavion comes out of nowhere and rapes you a dozen times as well, which is surprisingly fun and slaps you into reality (note: saving every time you score a hit is an easy way to win but does make you a utter pussy). Also, darkside powers in JA are soooooooo much better than lame-o lightside.
And I don't know about Luke but level 3 Force Jump is completely broken. It makes you feel like the Hulk.

can someone summarize the article in idiot terms? i dont understand what its saying.
People are panicking due to the crisis in Europe, mainly Greece and Spain. What goes on in Europe is a huge factor on the markets in America. People see trouble, they pull out. They pull out, the dow plummets. They lose confidence in the Euro, the dollar gains momentum. That's the thing us economics guys don't understand about Americans. Their safe haven is the American dollar. This is retarded because the value of the dollar is shit, and it's only getting shittier, brought on by Bernanke's zero interest rates, and inflated prices. The dollar is going to collapse within the next two years. It should have collapsed already if it weren't for the stupid Americans using it as a safety against the Euro or trouble abroad. I've increased my gold purchases.

Gold always struck me as a curious phenomenon. Its valuable because its shiny, rare and makes for expensive jewelery. At best, it has scientific applications because it can be hammered as thin as five atoms thick.
Why is it curious, or a phenomenon? It's a precious metal that has no industrial uses. No uses other than exchange. I find nothing curious about that at all.

It's more curious to me as an example of the things human beings will apply value too. Especially since as you mentioned, it has been consistent for thousands of years.

I don't know how accurate that is but you still can't do anything with gold but make it smaller and put it somewhere. I'd like to see these motherboards.
It's not much gold admittedly but when mobile phones get recycled they take all the gold out.
