I'm not sure you can get any crazier than Pelosi, Obama, or Bernanke. You know what they attributed the rise of unemployment to a few months ago? SNOW STORMS. You know what they attributed the tanking markets last week to? SOMEONE PUSHED THE WRONG BUTTON WHILE BUYING.

I wasn't taking a stance, just indulging in some smart assness and providing the technical definition to what a Sociologist would call the Tea Party.

Heh, although on campus here everyone calls them Teabaggers.

You have crazies that are so far left, what is your point?

This is not a sentence. It isn't even a mirror of my post. I said "crazies so far right that they can't be in the Republican party anymore." There are a lot of powerfully leftist people that qualify as extremists. I don't know why you think you are clever for pointing that out, because it isn't noteworthy. Every single cause has its zealots. What is noteworthy is that the zealots of the Right are now so incredibly zealous that the Right isn't right enough for them. When the extremists form a schism within your own party there is something going wrong.

And you still haven't conceded my point that third-parties are bad for the electoral success of the Major party they are branched from, TJ.

For a while Faux itself was calling them that.

Actually, it was a valid sentence, not sure what you're talking about. However, you're claiming the teabaggers are actually more right than the Republican party itself, and I'm telling you you're wrong.

Oh, i didn't mean to argue that Red, of course it would be bad for the Republicans. I feel no kinship for the republicans. Right now a higher percentage of people have a positive position on the Tea Party than they do for Democrats though. (31% to 30%) Did you watch the link I posted? I'm thinking the Tea Party could actually make it as a viable party. It is more in a position to challenge the Democrats than the Republicans are.

Thats why I'm asking what your problem with their stated goals are?

The tea-party is more libertarian than extreme right, from what I've seen.

I think we are confusing the terms, Left, Libertarian and Right.

Libertarian = Small Goverment, thats it. You can have Left Liberterian or Right Libertarian.

Which of us?

No, it was not. "so far right" is a prepositional phrase, not a verb or subject. "You have crazies that are so far left" what? So far left that what? (This isn't part of my argument, just something that has irked me lately.)

I could very well be wrong. What I do know is that the Teabaggers wont help the Republicans if they run against them.

All of us maybe? I'm not sure of the three of you using the terms in the same way.

That being said, I would classify the Teabaggers as Right Liberterians.

Well, I'm using Libertarians in the Ron Paul sorta way at the moment.

And people wonder how I could think politics is boring. 🙄

Woohoo for Clegg and Cameron?

EDIT - Man the idea of parties working together to form an alliance is downright bizarre.

Is there a 'meh' smilie?

much easier than the prep-work made it out to be. Here I was expecting a challenge and they gave me cookie-cutter questions. Ah well, it means everything will move faster I guess.

MicroEcon tomorrow then I'm free to have Senioritis for an entire 12 months.

So far left=so far right. When you're discussing politics, those are self explanatory. You REALLY need a description of "so far left" and "so far right", or are you just nitpicking.

I don't think you know what you're talking about honestly, but please explain how the teabaggers are more extreme than the Republicans.

And for the record, I'm a republicans/social-fiscal conservative.
