What makes you think states do any better? One state should not be allowed to cut power to another, or water. I really wish we had a unitary system. Most of the rest of the first world gets along fine without this nonsense of states' rights.

States don't really do better either. Electric companies are mostly private companies. Not sure what the deal is in AZ.

But then again, I don't see states as anything other than admistrative regions and find the idea that states have rights of their own to be a retarded concept. It was done back in the day because it was necessiary to form the government, but that shit should have ended with the Civil War.
