simplified i wasnt aware teachers are required to only teach things that are scientifically plausible.
If I understand correctly, they aren't saying that it shouldn't be taught, say in the correct classes such as Religion and Philosophy (or your Yankee equivilant), but that it shouldn't be taught as a scientific subject in Science classes as a credible alternative to The Big Bang and Evolution. To which I agree; Intelligent Design is a religious concept, not a scientific one and a Christian religious concept on top of that (see Zampano's post for why that matters).

Gordon Gecko! Interestingly i'm playing Mark Antony in Julius Caeser right now, the show concept is wall street, with Caeser, Antony, Cassius being wall-street bigwhigs, and Brutus the only one who feels guilty over the corruption.
