Who cares what Russia lets you do? It's about what the soldiers actively serving believe. Nobody cares what you or I or any other civilian believes. One of the generals in Afghanistan said that repealing the law would be a mistake since 95% of the soldiers would be hesitant to serve with a homosexual and I don't blame them. When your life is on the line, it's hard to differentiate between a "manly" homosexual and a chick trapped inside a guy's body. On the other hand, if everyone goes through basic training, it's possible that the feminine homosexuals will be weeded out.. It could go both ways since there's logic to both but it matters only what the soldiers believe.

You do know they let 'chicks' in the Army now, right? Maybe there should be a law where you aren't allowed to say you're a woman either. We wouldn't like any prejudiced soldiers getting blue nuts over having to fight beside a vagbox, now would we?
