I managed to work in a Oedipus complex though. It was kinda wierd arguing that I had one however. 'Yup my dad sure does suck! Gotta love mommy though! Mmm-hmmm, now theres a fine ol' lady!' Definately an experience.

Man, I know your pain. My Honor's Program application limited the essay to only 300 words. It was an interesting prompt, but 300 words is like a short paragraph, not an essay. Much rage was aimed at that small box.

ya. made the finals like 6 years ago though. that's a lot more than most schools can say. But the program isn't elite anymore, that's for sure. Tyler Zeller might change that. we shall see.

If you are finding that the word limit is too low, then you are doing something wrong. A few weeks I ago I had to write a 3000 word paper on Gustave Courbet's influence on Monet and the Impressionist movement. I finished saying what I wanted to say about five hundred words in and then filled the rest of the paper with mindless bullshit and large block quotes. I still got a 3.9. Undergrad education is about learning the fine art of bullshitting without looking like your bullshitting.
