Could you provide some examples? I have it on good faith that the individual in question would be more than willing to discuss this with you, provided that you do not waste his time.
I could deconstruct the entire Sidious essay and I'm rather sure that the remains wouldn't qualify as an argument any longer. I could also skim through the source material and ship in a pile of quotes, torpeding anything the individual in question has ever brought to this realms. But what for?
Killing free-time? Not after I have got my fingers on Dragon Age 2 recently. Educating the masses? I'm rather sure, that the same people who didn't care about fundamental principles of literature interpretation and analysis two or three years ago, still don't care about them. Being right? In case the individual in question hasn't noticed: he conceeded to me regarding the two quotes once used as "absolute proof" for Sidious being the most powerful - in his own pro-Sidious essay. He adopted my reasoning and logic to do so. If he had transferred the method to the other SW sources, he would have found out what I tried to lecture him on for almost two years.
So I wouldn't waste the time of the individual in question. I'd just waste my time. And that's really not meant in a derogative sense. I'd probably enjoy debating with (or simply talking to) the individual in question, but not to restart a war that is already over and that nobody here cares about any longer (except for entertaining purpose).
If the individual in question is interested some talk, my PM box is open.
