If I had a nickel for everytime a fanboy claimed to be objective...

Remember how you said you really liked Ragnos but you also say Palpatine's the strongest Sith? It's the same thing. I think Palpatine's a better villain than the Joker, Turr Phennir, or Gilad Pellaeon. It doesn't mean I like him more. Pellaeon's my favorite Star Wars character. For favorite villains, it would be Turr Phennir, General Grievous as written by Matthew Stover, Grand Moff Tarkin, Darth Vader, TCW Count Dooku, and then Palpatine.

I like Ragnos but I like Revan even better. The difference is, I haven't argued those two characters to death the past 3+ years. You've done that with Palpatine for longer than I've been around and continue to do so to this very day. There's no way you're just being "objective".

DS, in what world does arguing that a character is more powerful than another or other/s mean that he's your favorite?

I'd like to take a moment to mourn the waste of all of these words; many of us could have completed a novel with the output from this site.

In the world of the logical and realistic, when you spend countless hours/years as well as making a "grand essay" on why Palpatine rules. Lets not try to pass it off as objectivity, shall we?

😐

So, let me get this straight: because I have tenaciously argued that Palpatine is the most powerful Sith Lord in a forum that concerns itself with who would win in a fight.... Palpatine must be my very favorite character because, if not, I'd be arguing that... Pellaeon was the most powerful Sith ever?

... Did DS get hacked?

No, because you do it with such vigor and conviction, because you have spent countless hours debating, written essays on it, etc, is why you're not just objective. Nobody asked you to write an essay on Palpatine. Nobody asks you to write almost daily essays on why Palpatine is uber, or why he's a better villain than anyone else, but you do it anyways. I would say many of us are self aware to the point where we know which characters we are huge fans of so we don't kid ourselves. You seem to be under the delusion that you're just an objective, impartial observer, fulfilling the needs of the forum.

I'm pretty sure he's just joking. Especially when, courtesy of a simple KMC search, I"my predecessor" has been proclaiming Gilad Pellaeon to be his favorite character since July 2006.

I'm sure you could rearrange some of our finer moments in to a compelling short story.

After all those years of failing at that, I thought you would have moved on. I guess college hasn't washed away the stain of internet failure. 😮

No I'm not joking and it doesn't bother me at all that he's your favorite character because you've shut down virtually all arguments against him. The thing that bothers me is that you're masquerading as an impartial observer.

Before 2006 it was Chewbacca.

So, again, let me get this straight: I say that Pellaeon is my favorite Star Wars character, which I've been on record as saying as early as July 2006, ironically to you, but this isn't the case because, if it were so, I'd be arguing that Pellaeon can defeat lots and lots of people in a fight with vigor and conviction?

...

Really?

You hardly mention Pellaeon. But then again, you're purposely ignoring parts of my point, such as vigorously arguing about Palpatine being the greatest villain, creating a huge essay on Palpatine (where's the one on Pellaeon), etc.

I appreciate your confidence in my arguments, but the thing is

Spoiler:
He's not my favorite character. 😖

Who said anything about impartial? DS, you're not making sense: I try to be an impartial observer. But I've gone on record just days ago that I have been biased towards Palpatine. But does being biased towards him make him my favorite character?

😐

DS, this is a VERSUS forum. What could I possibly say about Pellaeon that would apply here? The essay itself isn't concerned with why Palpatine's the best character ever, but why he's the best Sith. How in the world could I argue such things for Pellaeon? Pellaeon's most recognizable feats were challenging Ackbar in the final Imperial push and defeating the Yuuzhan Vong commander Vorrik from a bacta tank. Other than that, he's a relatively unremarkable military leader.

You went out of your way to make a long essay on why Palpatine is the most powerful character in the mythos. I wonder why you would do that but not make an essay on why Pellaeon is the most competent of the Moffs, or why he's incapable of standing when he takes a leak.

i like more than one character.

I defend Luke, Kenobi, Yoda, and Ka'sim the Magnificent with vigor and conviction...
