So, the area where I live has a significantly large Iranian immigrant population and quite a few of them go to my school. Well, the other day I was handed a pamphlet/booklet on Islam. Very typical, nothing that remarkable about it. Christians do it all the time. I get some good shits and giggles by making fun of these things, so I took it. It was all very typical, Islam is the true religion + some pseudo science garbage, etc... etc.
Except these Muslims seriously need to take some cues from the Mormons and get PR savvy. You don't admit things like “a woman's testimony is only worth half of a man's or men can freely beat their wives.” Maybe that shit might pass in the remote areas of the deep south, but a college campus? Hilarious.
