"I said be quiet," she hissed under her breath, obviously annoyed that he was following her as she hunted but was not abiding by her rules. She pressed her body low to the ground, her ears pinning to her skull. She hoped desperately that Kai would do the same or she would go hungry once again.

Kai looked at her and did the same as she did. Not moving a mouscle and not making even a small sound. he was very good at concealing himself from anything.

She sighed happily for the fact that he had taken the hint. Her next hope was that he would remain behind as she moved forward, crawling slowly on her belly towards a concealed target. She neared and stopped her movement, checking for any adult deer coming back to the little one hidden in the tall grass. She wasn't strong enough to take on a buck or even a doe, but a fawn would be no problem. Seeing and hearing nothing, she lept, catching the little deer off guard. It struggled to stand, but she prevented it from doing so, her jaws inflicting a deadly bite to its thin neck. Disgusting little thing, but she had to eat.

Kai moved swiftly behind her and quietly. He kept his guard up for any parents. "Strange..." he whispered "The fawn is usually with the Doe..." he continued his watch as he let Crow eat.

"You have much to learn, Kai. Fawns are often left alone, though why the deer do so is anyone's guess. They have spots to help conceal them while their mothers are away." She wrapped her jaws around the tiny creature's neck and carried it away, not wanting to be there when the fawn's mother returned for foraging.

Kai followed he and sighed "Crow, why do you dislike me?" he asked "And please do not say its because im the only one who doesnt want you dead, you know that is untrue..." he walked up next to her, keeping his distance "There is a reason for everything..."

"Because I dislike everyone. A new and different reason. Does it suit you?" She lay down and began tearing at the carcass, eating the lean muscle tissue of the unweaned fawn.

Kai sighed "It would be if i believed you...." he said "What made you so cold, crow? I really wish to know... heart break, a death, etcetera?"

"This is the way I am, Kai. I have always had a tendency to act this way, a tendency that I could not avoid, and I never wished to. There are events in my past that made me colder, but none of them actually caused it. I do not talk about them, and I do my best not to think about them. They have become part of me, and I would not trade them for the world." She continued to eat, allowing to tender flesh of the fawn to slide down her throat. She did not like it, but it would have to do for now.

Kai sighed "Crow... atleast tell me something about you.. anything kind... anything that you liked.. please?" he begged. he wanted to know badly. The fact that she his stuff from him really bugged him.

Crow yawned and licked the blood, still warm, from her jaws as she finished off her meal, pretending to not have heard Kai's plea. She liked watching this, like listening to him beg. As he finished, she waited, minutes of silence passing before she spoke. "Kai, do I look as though there is really anything kind about me? Are you confused enough to think that I could show kindness, overwhelming compassion towards another creature? Let me assure you, I cannot, and I can think of no time specific when I did. As for what I liked, if you cannot tell then you really are a remarkably idiotic creature. I liked then what I do now: the flesh of predators. I like being feared; I like hating; I have even learned to enjoy being hated."

Kai shook his head "No one is born like you act, Crow.. there must be something you like that doesnt involve violence.. and as for you enjoying being hated... how do you feel about people who want to help you... be your friend.. and do not say you hate it, because i know you dont. You must admit, even if you dont like it, i am helping you, or am trying to. Crow.. i want to be your friend, even if it ends up with me being mauled when your better..." he shook his head and smiled at her "Maybe i am idiotic, but i do care."

ooc: Crow's mad.

ic: "Listen you little bastard," she hissed through bared teeth, her body shooting up from the ground, "You don't want to believe me? Fine. Don't. But how the hell can you expect me to trust you when you won't even trust what I say? Answer me that." She snarled angrily turning away from him for a moment, her hackles raised. She snapped back around towards him and began again, "It is possible to be born this way; I have firsthand experience with such. Stop telling me what I do and do not like, Kai. You've only just met me. You do not know me. You have helped me so far by watching me sleep. I can get a raven to do that."

Kai smirked "Yea, and, all the help i have offered you have turned down, should i start forcing my way in, crow?" he asked, almost rudely "Crow what you do NOT understand is that nothing is completely bad. if i have not explained this yet, let me explain it again. It is called ying yang" he said as he drew the ying yang symbol in the snow with his paw "There may be evil in the world, but there must always be good to contredict it.. same with good... but if you only have one of the two" he stomped on half of the symbol "You are a lifeless being" he smirked and looked at her in the eyes "Is that what you are crow? a lifless being?"

"Yes," she stated simply and walked away, her hackles lowering as she calmed. She liked who she was, damn it. Kai wasn't going to change her, not now, not ever.

Kai rolled his eyes and ran beside her "Crow, i will get you to understand this cinceept, may it take the rest of my life..." he said, promising her that. "I do not beleive what you say... and i fear you do.. i know you do.. because you have been alone, you do not need friends... but one day, who knows when.. you will need someone, and no one will be there.. i grew up thinking what you are now, but i changed my mind and did the opposite of what everyone did to me... the blew me off like a meddlesom fly... Crow, do not ignore me. You need to hear this... I have lost many things in my life.. my friends, and family.. i have very few friends now, you included. I know you have lost something or something happend in your past to make you want to give up trying anymore... as you told me before.. you trusted someone in the past.. and he let you down." Kai ran infront of her "Well im not like that!" he yelled "I am a wolf of his word, i never let anyone down.. enever.." he said, blocking her path.

"Again, you don't know me. Stop trying to tell me who and what I am. Seeing as you turned out the way you did, we're obviously very different. Wolves have tried what you're doing before, and, you're right, I don't listen. Kai, I never gave up trying because I never tried in the first place. Stop trying to change me into something that I'm not. You can take it or leave it; this is me, this is who I am." She walked around him, clearly annoyed with him and his 'helping'. She was fine the way she was. She wasn't going to change. She didn't want to.

Kai sigh and smiled "I wont press on in the subject.. you lik the way you are, thats fine with me..." he said as he walked next to her.

Crow rolled her eyes. Finally, she thought, We might be able to talk about something else. Or, better yet, not talk at all.. Her gentle pace began to regain some of its vigor, and her body traced the land's features with a bit of renewed strength. She moved to a tree with some lower hanging branches, and looked it over. She backed up a few steps and ran at it, jumping just before she hit it so to cling to the bark. She pulled herself up onto the first branch with great effort. She had originally planned on climbing higher, but that was obviously out of the question.

Kai looked up at her "...i cant do that" he said as his ears pressed against his head, but then they perked up and he smiled. "But... you wouldnt want me up there anyways... do you think when you get better, you could teach me to do that?"
